ARM1968 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Loving the Villa forum. Quite complementary about Ranieri, but ripping their own team and Sherwood to pieces. Lovely.
HoustonFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Kante has to start next week after that performance. I think in his first 5 mins on the pitch he made more tackles and passes than Inler! Not saying Inler is bad by any means but just not up to the pace. Kante and DD in the middle also give us more pace and bite and help the full backs, so when they do push on, there is some cover. RDL does seem to be a bit "where am I?" some times (how many times has he actually lost where the ball is this season?) but his drive forward has also created pressure. I'm gutted we didn't get Trippier over the summer. Ah well, great result and finished with a 442 or more 4222 at the end. That team has to start, although harsh on Albrighton who I think, despite his good start, is no way as effective on the left but he's not going to get ahead of Riyad on the right. Awesome result, great tenacity and team spirit and CR's always awesome interview at the end topped it off. PS - serves the Villa fans right for giving it the olés as well
steveherbe Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 The mrs, daughter, dog and I are on a bit of a downer after dropping the lad off at his halls of residence for his upcoming stint at university. The win and how we did it is a nice little "pick me up" for us all Love you, son. Skype you later It'll be the making of him mate, you send them off as kids, they end up as terrific young men - well, mine did anyway.
Callabinho Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 N'golo (Robin Hood) Kante. Kid pinches the ball every time he goes for it.
foxfanazer Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Still buzzing my tits off. This club is special! Would love to be a fly on the wall in the Sherwood household tonight
LCFCSOULBOY Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Mike Dean I am sure must be a Villa fan. Gave us nothing in the game. First fowl Albrighton made in midfield gave him a yellow. All the while Villa players were just shoving us and kicking us off the ball. First 65 minutes or so we were just awful. Looked like how we played after the first Man Utd.game. Thought CR would be saying "a game of fine margins" after the game. Thought Kante and Dyer made all the differences when they can on. The whole midfield woke up. The last 20 well was just Leicester. Incredible spirit and resolute. So proud. Does anyone else's wife keep asking them questions when the game is on? Biting my nails then the cushion and she keeps asking me the most mundane questions. Would I be convicted for a crime of passion for killing the wife during a Leicester game?

He is such a smug tvat. Post game interview gave us no credit. Why do all the pundits love this cvnt so much? Probably because he is English. Definitely feel English press biased towards English managers. He is such a little tosser. Can't stand him

Izzy Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 He comes across like nigel pearson did to everyone last season. Controversial! But probably true....
Happy Fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 The reaction through the match thread was comical! I have been guilty in the past of overreacting. As if Uncle Claudio would let us lose to Aston Villa. We are f**king good no doubt about it. Top 10 material or even higher! this season imo.
Jattdogg Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Would I be convicted for a crime of passion for killing the wife during a Leicester game? In canada probably not. Even if you were you would probably be able to plead insanity for which you will go to a psych ward and be out in 1 year. My wife usually just smiles and letz me scream like a nutter without saying a word
Wortho Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 We were awful for 45 minutes but after that what a barnstorming performance. We just stopped them playing and ripped them apart. De Laet had a great 2nd half along with Mahrez, DD, JV, NG in fact they were all awesome the last 20 minutes. Great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STUHILL Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Loving the current "Love fest" for Leicester at the moment by pundits. Niall Quinn was gushing over us and the spirit of our club. Proud time to be a Leicester fan and I think we are winning a lot of fans all over
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I just hope we keep our feet firmly grounded this season. We all saw what happened when we beat Man United last season and thought we were Barcelona. Our season imploded. We are good, but lets not let the expectation exceed us.

We are good, but lets not let the expectation exceed us.We played a Villa team that fell to pieces after our first goal, they were softer then Rincy's belly button fluff. Next week will be a massive challenge
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 What a roller coaster! Inler was gash though. Never seen a shit performance turn around so quick like second half. So exciting today
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Absolutely mental. Today was one of those days where you just think to yourself that this is why I spend a bloody fortune following Leicester. Would be completely lost without football. First half very poor, our long balls were dealt with easily by their two big centre halfs. Our strikers are at their best when they are running down the channels, but we were unable to find that space in the first half. Credit to Ranieri, changed the game with his subs and the switch from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1. I'm telling you now that bloke is not an idiot, I am incredibly impressed with his tactical know-how and ability to change the course of a game. I don't want to start a Pearson v Ranieri debate but if Nige was in charge today I'm not convinced he would have made those changes. Under Pearson if things were going wrong we would seem to just keep plugging away at the same methods. Ranieri is more bold with his decisions and not afraid to completely change the style and personnel. As for the individuals, Morgan and Drinkwater were back in their Championship title winning season form. Albrighton quiet and I would start Dyer over him at Stoke. Vardy excellent second half and Mahrez yet again the standout performer. What an incredible talent he is. On to Stoke now who haven't won all season. Kante in for Inler and Dyer in for Albrighton and I'll really fancy us to sneak a win. However, as with all 19 away games in the Premier League, if offered a point now I would take it. Brilliant day.

Absolutely right. Make no mistake, Ranieri making the changes at exactly the right times today, won us that football match.
johnny the fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I love how the villa fans were giving it the old ole ole.. ha ha .
MC Prussian Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Absolutely right. Make no mistake, Ranieri making the changes at exactly the right times today, won us that football match. He could've also avoided a formation that conceded two goals. The 4-4-2 just didn't work and we were crying out loud for a force in central (attacking) midfield to actually involve our strikers into the game. Hence Okazaki not getting fed at all and us playing with essentially ten against eleven for large parts in the first half. Switching Mahrez from the right into a centre forward role proved to be one of the better decisions.

st albans fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Stoke outplayed us twice last season. good test of where we are next Saturday.

Had to laugh at the end, looked across to the Villa fans, 60 seconds after the final whistle their corner was 95% empty. Their team had played ok, scored two good goals but they didnt bother acknowledging their team, rubbish supporters. No class.
