Kante MOTM for me, turned the game for us.

Kasper 6 - not much to do bar watch two unstoppable strikes go past him 

 

RDL 6 - bit crap but scored and got better 

Huth 5 - still worryingly not anything like as good as he was just 4 months ago

Wes 7 - solid as a rock second half 

Jeff 6 - about a 2 for the first half when he had to defend, attacked like a hero second half though which saved his skin 

 

Albrighton 5 - not much worked for him today

Inler 4 - shocker 

Drinkwater 8 - ran it 

Mahrez 8 - is anyone even surprised anymore 

 

Vardy 7 - classic Vards and a goal to boot 

Okazaki 5 - sluggish and not involved enough

 

 

Dyer 7 - nice debut and a winner 

Kante 7 - just a bundle of joy 

Ulloa 6 - tidy enough 

 

 

 

Ranieri 7 - bad starting line up but changed it and changed the game. Great management. 

 

Villa 6 - thought they were quite good, nobody would've stopped us once we got going. 

Ref 4 - few shockers but it's to be expected these days

If De Latte hadn't scored I would have given him zero but he has managed to push that up to a 1

Him , Simpson the scum bag and Bennytheloon are our 3 right backs which is horrific reading

Apart from that we are heading in the right direction

Mahrez remains the best player in the league at the moment.

Drinkwater was unbelievable in midfield; so good in posession and repeatedly winning the ball back.

Morgan was superb at the back. He's turned into a superb operator.

Kante had a massive impact. He's such a tough tackler and his small stature is deceptive.

Kasper 5 - no saves and kicking was poor I thought

De laet 6 - such an obvious weak link in defence but credit for desire to get his head on the ball

Huth 6 - unconvincing but stronger 2nd half. I don't think having de laet along ado is helping him

Morgan 7 - strong and powerful

Schlupp 7 - pretty woeful first half but played his part in the second

Albrighton 5 - poor today. Not sure being on the left is helpful

Inler 6 - tidy at times but poor at others

Drinkwater 8 - not great first half but was excellent second

Mahrez 8 - not everything comes off but he's the catalyst

Vardy 8 - barely got a kick first half but was immense second

Okazaki 4 - barely touched the ball and passed him by. He and vardy can't play together when teams play as deep as villa did

Dyer 7 - fits right in, brave.

Kante 8 - superb

Ulloa 7 - made a difference without really touching the ball too much.

Kasper - 6 - Left stranded from 2 wonder strikes but otherwise solid.

 

De Laet - 6 - Would be a 5 for a decent performance but took his goal well and contributed very positively in the last 20 mins. Poor 1st half.

Huth - 6 - Solid. Nothing special, nothing calamitous but steady.

Morgan - 8 - Fantastic from Wes today. Led from the back. Strong in the air and handled the pace and trickery of Agbonlahor, Grealish and Gil better than Huth.

Schlupp - 6 - Much the same as Bournemouth. Poor 1st half, monstrous performance in the 2nd half. Love it when Jeff drives for the byline.

 

Albrighton - 5 - Huffed and puffed, gave his all and was decent enough. Not his finest performance though.

Inler - 3 - Woeful. Gave the ball away in short distribution, caught on the ball a lot, sloppy in possession and slowed our play down. Bury (a) and today have not been promising.

Drinkwater - 8 - MOTM. Superb. Lovely touches and an accurate range of passing. Brought others into play and got forward well. The General today.

Mahrez - 7 - Thought he was too predictable for a lot of the game today. Last 20 was what we need to see and earns a 7. Villa couldn't handle him then. 

 

Okazaki - 5 - Usual effort levels but lacked quality in his performance today. Not discouraging as such but one to forget.

Vardy - 8 - A decent 1st half where he looked dangerous and then energy, commitment and desire personified in the 2nd. Deserved his goal and boosted the team.

 

Dyer - 7 - Positive from his first touch. Drove forward well, energy, pace and began to turn the tide in our favour. 

Kante - 8 - Everywhere. Again. Broke play up well. Massively worked in our favour and should have been on from the start.

Ulloa - 6 - Linked up well and gave us a physical presence to counter Lescott and Richards. Did his bit and imo enough to start at Stoke.

 

Ranieri - 7 - Again, similar to Bournemouth. Tale of two halves. Sherwood bettered him in the first half and in the second Claudio let his experience show. Masterstroke subs.

 

Villa - 7 - I actually thought they were decent. Crumbled in the last 20 that cost them but otherwise well organised, solid and showed a lot more going forward than last season. 

Ref - 5 - Meh, a classic refereeing performance.

i know a lot of people love him, but his posistioning is always questionable, and decision making is woeful, at the end of the game he runs out of his box, stops and panics, could have cost us the game!

NEW KEEPER PLEASE! at least get someone to give him competition so he ups his game!

Schmeichel(6) - Picked the ball out of the net twice & that was about it.

De Laet(7) - Don't get the hate today, thought he did alright, his goal kicked us into gear.

Morgan(9) - Absolute tank, good on & off the ball, some of his tackles in particular were sublime.

Huth(7) - Struggled early doors especially with balls played down the side, improved as the game went on.

Schlupp(7) - Was lacklustre first half, came to life second half, think Dyer coming on gave him confidence.

Albrighton(5) - Too slow paced for me, his crossing hasn't been great in the last few games either.

Inler(5) - Mixed bag, intercepted well but his passing was very up & down.

Drinkwater(8) - That's the Drinkwater I like to see, consistent all game.

Mahrez(8) - Shocking first half far too greedy, came to life second half & was unplayable.

Okazaki(5) - Just didn't get the service, still got stuck in though.

Vardy(7) - Typical Vardy, he's had better games recently but can't fault his effort, especially to get on the end of the cross for his goal.

Dyer(8) - Energy, energy & energy, perfect play for us, fits right in.

Kante(9) - I'm in love with N'Golo.

Ulloa(7) - Did a good job.

Got to agree for their 1st so many defenders on the right side of defence,had the shot gone to his right it surely would have been blocked so why he went over to his right ,when it's fairly obvious the shot would go back to where he came from on the left is beyond me.

Huth 6 not got his form back. Looks a bit lardy too

Morgan 8 really classy now, several good headers from corners and free kicks.

Schlupp 7 usual defensive doziness at tomes but great going forward.

Mahrez 8 better when he moved into the hole from the wing

Inler 5 not yet up to the pace of the PL yet. Takes too much time on the ball and loses possession as a result.

DD 8 back to his old form.

Albrighton 6 good at times but roughed up by his old team mates, and had to be cautious because of his card.

Okazaki 4 looked jet-lagged and not up to it today.

Vardy 7 sluggish first half. All fired up when getting better service from the midfield second half

Dyer 7 great debut

Kanye 8 Motm changed the game. With Inler we couldn't hold possession, with Kante Villa couldn't hold onto it. Will be a fans favourite.

Ulloa 7 held up the ball well and got back to defend at setpieces. He cleared a lot of corners last year and he deserves a start against Stoke

Ranieri 7 learning his players slowly. Unexpected bench selection. Great subs.

I am wondering if CR deliberately plays a slow first half before upping the pace when the opposition tires. That is the third game in a row where we have only upped the tempo after going a goal down. It seems to work but seems like thin ice to me.

Villa 5 nothing special and should finish below us by the look of them.

Officials: 4 great use of goal line technology! First time I have seen it make a difference. Otherwise fairly poor.

2nd place on 11 points and unbeaten in the season. Great start. Lets kick Stoke while they are down!

I don't really get the hate for Inler. He wasn't up with the pace but for me he played well first half. Was physical and swept up where necessary. I have no doubt he'll get on form for us eventually but having disappointed in the cup at Bury and then gone on to play really well vs England I'd hoped for a lot, lot more today.

 

I don't see how anyone can say he played well today. One or two good long range passes does not make up for the amount of times he gave the ball away and was caught in possession. He looked better defensively than he did offensively but today left a lot to be desired. But there's more to come, onwards and upwards. He's not suddenly turned shite overnight.

Kasper 6. Had nothing to do other than pick the ball out of the net where he had no chance with either.

RDL 5 - and that's being generous. All villas good play came down his side. Such a weak link defending which is a shame as he is decent going forward.

Jeff 7 - just another solid perfomance.

Morgan 8 - collosal.

Huth 6 - Struggles against pace but ate everything in the air.

Albrighton 6 - quiet game.

Mahrez 7 - his continual taking the piss is a delight to watch.

Drinky 8 - the DD from 13/14 has returned.

Inler 6 - off the pace a bit, not gonna write him off after his first start mind.

Vardy 7 - Proper strikers finish and a standard vardy performance.

Okazaki 5 - don't think he recovered from that whack he took in the first minute. Offered little.

Dyer 8 - looked hungrier than anyone when he came on. Gives us another great option

Ulloa 7 - have ther centre backs more to think about with his presence and held the ball up well.

Kante 8 - changed the game in our favour. Won everything, started attacks. He's probably still at the ground now doing bits.

The Drinkwater rating's have really surprised me. I watched it with a couple of non-Leicester fans who thought he was abysmal. Second half he was a lot better but he gave the ball away a fair bit.

Kasper 6 - Nothing to do other than pick the ball out his net. Okay distribution.

De Laet 6 - Switches off defensively too much, gets absolutely no help from Mahrez in the 1st half though. Much better 2nd and took his goal well.

Morgan 8 - MOTM. Beastly performance. Good on the and dealt with everything. No idea how he gets grief, been our best defender for 4 years.

Huth 6 - Looked a bit dodgy again. Solid in the air. Looks exposed in a 4 man defence.

Schlupp 7 - First half shocking, second half when he attacked with conviction unplayable. Much better as a wing back/winger than a left back.

Mahrez 7 - First half too greedy and predictable. Second half playing a free role much better.

Inler 4 - Terrible really. Far too slow in possession and made simple 5 yard passes look tough. Got his foot in well.

Drinkwater 8 - Always looked to pass forward. Best midfielder on the pitch, good to see him back to his best.

Albrighton 5 - Not suited to playing wife left, not enough pace or skill to beat a full back inside. Hard work as always though.

Okazaki 5 - Worked hard, shrugged off the ball pretty easily. Ulloa must be close to a start.

Vardy 7 - Thought Richards dealt with him well. Never gave up though and took his goal well.

Dyer 7 - Fantastic movement even if his touch wasn't quite there. Great bravery to score that goal.

Kante 7 - Much more energy than Inler and got his foot on the ball better. Must be close to a start.

Ulloa 7 - Didn't win in the air but was a different option to occupy the defence. Held the ball up really well.

Claudio 7 - Got it wrong again from the start. All the subs made a positive contribution to win the game. Please play 3-5-2.

Villa 6 - Played good counter attacking football. Crumbled badly in the 2nd half and Sherwood did nothing about it.

Mike Dean 3 - The most arrogant man in the world as Nigel said. Got alot wrong in terms of little fouls. On would have been dubious. Hate the way he walks around the pitch as if he is the dogs bollocks.

I'm surprised about the Schlupp ratings. At half time I was wishing Fuchs was on the bench because Jeff looked like the long trip to Africa had taken its toll... He kept giving the ball away and getting caught up field and out of position. Better second half from him but still say he's an attacking player and not a defender.

Agree Inler was off the boil but also think he needs to be given a chance because he's far better than King and did win a lot of balls in the air. The way we play a lot of balls from defence with Vardy, Shinji, Drinkwater and Kante we will win ZERO balls in the air v Stoke so hopefully Ulloa starts or perhaps Inler and Kante?
