Guest CityFan 06 Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Great win for us last night. Fuchs was superb, his set pieces were fantastic and the cross in from him for King's winning goal was magnificent. Pleased for Dodoo, well taken goal, onto the next round.
Captain... Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Re: the Noble penalty, he only has himself to blame, he anticipated the contact and started going down before he had been hit, if he hadn't done that Simpson would have fouled him, but he either tried to protect himself or con the ref. If he and every other player in the league including some of our own, would just concentrate on getting the ball then we would all be better off, although we might be out the cup.
Babylon Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Some of the West Ham comments make me laugh. Bemoaning us parking the bus..... errrrm 22 shots on goal.
Babylon Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 " makes me wonder how long clubs like this can sustain their premier league existence, with massive areas of empty seats, their dour funeral like songs, free plastic 'clappers' handed out on entry, and the inevitable championship music after a goal, cos they ain't got enough people to cheer, make the most of it Leicester, it won't be long"

He's right though, not selling out for a league cup 3rd round and handing out clappers does mean that we will get relegated one day.. Nothing to do with the great players we have, or the billionaire backing and TV money. Besides, they'll be the ones with the empty seats when they move to their new ground.
Hollism Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Ulloa was great, get him on ahead of Okazaki for Saturday. Inler was dreadful. I know everyone on here is saying he was bad but for me that doesn't tell the whole story. Absolute shocker. Wesoloeski showed he is capable of doing a great job. He was at least as good as Benny. King had a good game. It's weird how you ca forget he's on the pitch sometimes, but if you keep your eyes on just him for five minutes, you realise how important he actually is. Lovely header as well. Kante looked decent. Absolute stonewaller penalty for them (when Noble got booked). The ref did seem to be out against them but it wouldn't have made a difference in the end. West Ham didn't exactly put out a reserve team but they looked poor most of the game. Unlucky to not win it in 90 I think.
JPM1983 Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Don't know what was better, the result or getting a West Ham fan kicked out at half time. he made my blood boil, wore his West Ham shirt in SK3. Anyone else see this?I was in SK3 and missed that... Why did he think that was a good idea?!
Babylon Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Having seen the non penno again, I think the referee was absolutely spot on. Noble went down before any contact was made. Simpson stuck his leg in and Noble would have got a penno if he hadn't dived early.
ramboacdc Posted 23 September 2015 Author Posted 23 September 2015 The draw is tomorrow I think. It won't be played in December, that's ages away. EDIT: The Quarter Final (if we get there) may well be in December however, that's when it was played last season. Although I should probably point out tickets will likely be hard to come by. i thought the semis were more around december time?
whitlock Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Which player had the black Lamborghini in the car park? Please say it was Claudio

kingcarr21 Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 I was in SK3 and missed that... Why did he think that was a good idea?! I didnt see it but wouldnt be bothered in the slightest aslong as he was behaving himself. Its a shame opposing fans cant sit together. Great game last night. They put out a very strong side but it was clear as day Carroll wasnt fit. Guess the minutes on the pitch was good for him. Dodoo with a great goal but i think when he took Collins out the ref told him and King to calm it down. I dont think Dodoo put another tackle in all game. He was forever blocking and never actually putting his foot in. Wicked deflection for their equaliser but in the first half i think it was pretty even. 2nd half though we bossed it. Should never have gone to Extra Time with the chances we made. West Ham were content with Penalties and didnt even look like trying to score in extra time. Thought Noble's yellow was very harsh and could have easily been a penalty, he does look to go down before contact is made though so i can see why the ref booked him. Was still a foul though. One thing that i think should be mentioned is the amount of away fans that turned up. Considering it was a Tuesday night (school night) it was a great turn out. They must have got home really late. Thats the only positive though as they were quiet as a mouse. Best player on the pitch for me was Fuchs. West Ham targeted our LHS as our weakness in the first half always getting the ball to Moses. Fuchs did really well defensively and his throw ins/free kicks give us another element to our attacking play. King with a great performance in the middle and Inler was ok. Was tired of seeing his shots miss the target constantly. Think he would benefit in a 5 man midfield. Ulloa played really well and Kram looked lively but is seriously lacking in confidence. His 1 on 1 i couldnt believe he didnt put his foot through it. a great nights football and Ranieri now has a tough selection on his hands against Arsenal.
foxfanazer Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 They should've had at least one penalty to be fair but on balance of play we deserved to win 3 games. Some fantastic individual performances Kante is an exciting prospect

You can see how Noble goes down before any contact is being made.
DennisNedry Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 It's a foul AND a dive. The two things aren't mutually exclusive imo. Also, a few comments from the WHU forum match thread (Knees Up Mother Brown) - seem gracious in defeat on the whole! - Game over No complaints, Leicester better side. At least we had a go - was coming and deserved. - FFS... Deserved to be fair. - 2-1 Leicester - can't say they haven't deserved it - They deserved that, no complaints - It's just one of those where you have to hand it to Leicester, they never stopped going, same as against Villa, and it's well deserved really.
Babylon Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 It's a foul AND a dive. The two things aren't mutually exclusive imo. He was diving before the foul even happened. Play stops at the point of the dive.
shen Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Nope, the replay right after the incident was very telling. You can see how Noble goes down before any contact is being made. Indeed. In the replay you can see his left foot/leg is going down before Simpson makes contact. Whether he loses balance or dives is difficult to say. Noble isn't exactly known for his dribbling skills, so could well be the former.
Countryfox Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 JOURNO'S ARE THEY REAL ??? Was whizzing through the papers over breakfast and obviously looking at the reports on the game . In the good old Leicester Mercury and the Telegraph they both give player ratings .... Schwarzer 6 (LM), Schwarzer 7 (DT); Was 7 (LM), Was 6 (DT); .... so far so good ... then we get to Albrighton ... 9 (LM) Man of the match !! ... 6(DT) joint lowest rating ? ... And this by "Jon Culley at the King Power Stadium".... What a load of bollocks !!! I feel like sending them an email ....
RowlattsFox Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Hope Dodoo and Chilwell go out on loan now. I'd imagine we'll be playing 'stronger' teams in the next rounds.

Guest Col city fan Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Really really chuffed with last night's win. Shows we have depth of squad and that we are taking the cup comps seriously. Dodoo continues to shine and King is a club legend imo. Brilliant!

MC Prussian Posted 23 September 2015 Posted 23 September 2015 Bugger.. "content unavailable in your location" There's a fair few who have shared the video on Facebook - funnily enough, there's no area/continental restriction on FB.
