West Ham (H) Post match 2-1 AET

Great to be back after a long absence at the ground.

We're starting to look like a side with real class. I was thinking back to the times I've been around Europe watching sides like Dortmund, Inter and teams similar and the way we move, create chances and use the ball is seriously right up there now.

Take the Mahrez ball into King's path for the header between goalkeeper and defender, pinpoint. Fair enough it didn't go in but that's class play.

Standouts tonight were Fuchs, who i'm sure we'll be seeing more of. Also Albrighton looks a different beast altogether from when he first arrived. Benalouane looked solid although needs to sometimes hold back instead of jumping in.

Not too sold on the praise for Ulloa, did some great things but at the same time drifted in and out of the game. Kramaric needs a goal badly. Did everything right when it came to ball retention and build up but that finish on the 1 on 1 was laughable.

Good times are well and truly back!

One thing that i think should be mentioned is the amount of away fans that turned up. Considering it was a Tuesday night (school night) it was a great turn out. They must have got home really late. Thats the only positive though as they were quiet as a mouse.

I was surprised by their turnout, thought it would have been the sort of fixture where only a handful turn up. With extra time it would have been a late night. Think our atmosphere drowned out any chants they started tbh

Makes for some great reading. Seem a very level headed bunch of fans to be fair who admit they were beaten by a better side.

All in all, tonight was a step too far. The players have done well recently and let us not take away anything from Leicester. Tinker man has given them belief. They can beat anyone regardless of what personnel they put out. That's good management.

Went to the game last night. A couple of observations;

- Fuchs was class. He should start at LB on Sat, with Schlupp moving up to LW

- Kante was brilliant at extinguishing the threat of Payet, when he came on.

- Inler grew into the elongated game. He needs abit of adjustment on his sights regarding his long range shooting.

- crowd around me in upper J block was full of 'year 8's' (whatever age that is!) in stone island clobber. Quite funny really.

- Dodoo looks like he should be rapid .... But is actually slooowwww.

- Kramaric got himself into some great positions, but his finishing was poor. This is the opposite of his usual performance, from what I've seen. Confidence must be in shreds.

Their fans are surprisingly complimentary about Leicester. Refreshing change from the utter drivel spouted by fans of clubs like Villa, Sunderland, Stoke etc... they're a lot more honest. Fair play to them.

They should've had at least one penalty to be fair but on balance of play we deserved to win 3 games. Some fantastic individual performances

Kante is an exciting prospect

Kante has got off to an incredible start. It's like we've taken 13 years to find an upgrade on Robbie Savage, and I've never quite known a tackler like him. He seems unplayable, capable of squirming round players and nicking the ball off anyone. It's early days, but he looks like a real favourite in the making.

unbelievable its like he can do a kung fu sliding tackle from a weird angle and still come out with the ball.

To be honest, first half I was thinking he had great acceleration, but seemed to lose a yard over distance. If that makes sense.

Cup draw after Tottenham v Arsenal tonight, if any of you didn't know.

Hope we get Bournemouth or Newcastle, home or away.

I went last night but missed our first goal.

Is there highlights on TV anywhere that I can download on my tele on catch up?

Great website but you should also use the subreddit /footballhighlights https://www.reddit.com/r/footballhighlights which has links for every game including MOTDs, will quite often have links to much longer highlight packages of varying quality and languages and sometimes even the full match. Essential stuff.

also we bought kante for less than derby bought bradley johnson

Probably worth bumping this comment once a day until the end of time.
