Tuna Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Who does fuchs look like? He reminds me of someone and I can't think who. Ryan Reynolds?
psychonaut Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 So many options who starts at the weekend?! Kante and Drinkwater as the central pairing still for me. Fuchs looks the perfect wing back - hes too good to not be making the bench at the very least. Not forgeting wasil - looks solid as ever. Benny a real standout performer - looked composed and his distribution was spot on. 3 at the back?!? The annoying thing - and ive said it before a few times - all these great options and we'll still start RDL at right back. Yes positionally we only have Simpson to challenge but still! It annoying as sh1t!
weller54 Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Who does fuchs look like? He reminds me of someone and I can't think who. Preki?
kingpowerout Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Kanté is the man! Good timed subs again for Ranieri
Corky Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 That is a lovely finish by Dodoo as well, great body position and calmly placed. Lad's got a confidence about him in front of goal.
psychonaut Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Who does fuchs look like? He reminds me of someone and I can't think who. Haley Joel Osment - with a beard
MC Prussian Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Who does fuchs look like? He reminds me of someone and I can't think who. An alternate grown-up version of Haley Joel Osment in his younger days. EDIT: Ha - psychonaut! Talking about telekinesis!
Onikage82 Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Christian Fuchs looks like Ryan Reynolds!
whoareyaaa Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 What a great game of football that was we could have had 5 or 6. Ulloa in for Okazaki for me against Arsenal and Fuchs has to start at left back. Benny looked solid at the back tonight and I'm sure he will be starting a few matches soon but who do you drop Huth or Morgan? tough choices but what a great postion to be in after that performance, everyone had a brilliant game. This team is the dogs bollocks, Kante is going to be another super signing what a player he is!! Inler looked better today, a few missed placed passes and wild shots but did his job well I thought. Now lets go and stick one up the Arsenal!
SecretPro Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Have to say this game above any other has made me more confident about this season. A performance like that by what is effectively our second 11?1 Just Mental. I couldn't have dreamt of this last season, we actually have an extremely good squad with players who can come in when others drop out and carry on where they left off. The back line today I thought was fantastic, looked solid. Mega impressed with how Benny has come on and I hate to say it but barring almost giving away a pen Simpson actually had a very good game at right back. Fuchs was simply immense in every way. As for Kante - just WOW. Some of us laughed at his Makelele comparison but jesus the kid ain't far off - watching a man of that stature beast the midfield makes me smile like a cheshire cat. Up the citeh!
Oxfordfox83 Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Few thoughts on the criticisms - Ulloa looked great, held up the ball well, a very decent header in the second half and most importantl made Dodoo's goal. He's been at least solid every time I've seen him this season, and seems to be taking the competition for places very well. Noble is a diving ba$tard - not a Simpson fanboy but don't think he put a foot wrong tonight. Fuchs is absolutely top drawer - I can't believe we might have Was, Benny and him on the bench for Saturday...
Max Power Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 I love all the options we have now. Not just personell wise, but formation and system wise. The 4-2-3-1 we played when Kante came on looked great. Can only echo the love for Fuchs who gave the perfect full back display but I really thought Ulloa was fantastic. Superb hold up play, some classy touches and nice passes to go with a good physical display. No idea what my XI for Arsenal is tbh, don't forget Nathan Dyer as an option as well!
foxinsox Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Ulloa is very useful at defending setpieces too. I think that we will see Okazaki start on Saturday. It takes a little while to adjust to the Premier league as so many show, though Kante has adapted exceptionally well and will create havoc in Arsenal. They will never hold possession with that lad on the pitch.
promised land Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Cracking game, great atmosphere, great fans.
I blame Wellens Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Some strong performances today. To be honest I thought king was one of the weakest but great credit for the goal. Fuchs looked very solid. Let's just put him on the right. Ulloa did well today. Love the criticism he gets from people who obviously didn't actually go to the game. I know it's difficult judge in a game like this ( completely different tempo to the prem) but the Waz and Benny did well. KANTE is GOD!
VinceNoir Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Loved that game. Claudio has a positive problem on Saturday only being allowed to pick 11! Kante first name on the team sheet for me. How fvcking good is he!!
richardsfoxes Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Its incredible to think only a few months ago, we we're rock bottom, had no confidence most people thought we were down and then this, a team which oozes confidence and potential its just incredible and then people who don't like football ask they don't understand the fuss with football, THIS is why we watch football.
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Thought Ulloas hold up play was top draw tonight, played very well for me. Best full game yet from ulloa, looked as though he wanted the shirt tonight
psychonaut Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 An alternate grown-up version of Haley Joel Osment in his younger days. EDIT: Ha - psychonaut! Talking about telekinesis! Dont you mean sixth sense?
Tuna Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Loved this on the West Ham forum: We have to be honest and see the positives that we're out of this competition, whilst our rivals for the league title have more midweek games (Man City and Leicester)
EnderbyFox Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 Fuchs brilliant, Kante an absolute machine and Ulloa at his best. Would start Leo in Shinjis place, as for the rest I have no idea. What a squad we've assembled - real selection headache for Claudio. Even Simpson had a decent game
Jordan Posted 22 September 2015 Posted 22 September 2015 BAE I LUV U LIKE CHRISTIAN FUCHS LUVS SOCIAL MEDIA Seriously, though--I turned the game on in the 60th minute and I thought Fuchs showed so much class. And that ball to Andy King (bless his soul) was just perfect. For most of that time, Leicester were having a bad day at the office with their finishing, and Adrian was fantastic. But even if the winner didn't come, I'm still very pleased with how many chances Leicester create, no matter how little possession they have, or how many changes to the lineup they make. The boys deserve their place in the 4th round. I missed Dodoo's goal and can't wait to find a replay of it. As for Simpson... It's refreshing to see fans actually admit the referee got one (or two, or three) wrong which benefitted our team and not be ***** about it to West Ham fans. I think the ***** that follow a lot of other teams wouldn't have been so level-headed about those calls (it might help that we won...).
