Captain... Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but Villa fans were doing the olés at 2-0, Southampton fans were doing it at 2-0, anyone else? Stoke fans?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Our resident French fans are always wondering, "why are they shouting 'with milk'?".
RowlattsFox Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Don't think we ever have the ball long enough to ole.
Bayfox Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Don't think we ever have the ball long enough to ole. We don't need it for long.
StanSP Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 we started ole-ing against Sunderland then they scored
marko Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 I did also enjoy listening to their "you're f**king s**t" chant getting rammed back down their throats at full-time.
Dr The Singh Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Fans are stupid, they will do it regardless
st albans fox Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Our 50% upped our average to 41% yesterday Still the lowest in the prem
purpleronnie Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Our 50% upped our average to 41% yesterday Still the lowest in the prem Pretty amazing that despite that stat and the fact we have conceded the same as the bottom club we are 5th in the table.
ScouseFox Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Pretty amazing that despite that stat and the fact we have conceded the same as the bottom club we are 5th in the table. we've completed the least passes in the prem too I think, we're boss
cambridgefox Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Our 50% upped our average to 41% yesterday Still the lowest in the prem probably an improvement on last season( not a Pearson dig) think the longer we stay and become established the better it will become.
Captain... Posted 18 October 2015 Author Posted 18 October 2015 we've completed the least passes in the prem too I think, we're boss Really cos I wish we would pass it around the back four for 5 minutes like Southampton did, that was riveting football, Ole indeed.
promised land Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 I did also enjoy listening to their "you're f**king s**t" chant getting rammed back down their throats at full-time. When you read their forum, it sounds like this is a regular Saints song to everyone. Was funny yesterday though, plus one or two of their fans were helped out by stewards for whatever reason near the end.
Voll Blau Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 We're the same set of fans that think clappers are great and take our cues from Youtube when it comes to "new" chants. Wouldn't hold out much hope...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 I don't think I'll ever forget the Manchester United fans singing "Attack, attack, attack" at 3-1 up last season.
Captain... Posted 18 October 2015 Author Posted 18 October 2015 I realise it sounded like I was saying we shouldn't do the Olés, I wasn't trying to be a chant nazi, I was just pointing out that two times this season opposition fans have been doing the old ole and it has come back to bite them on their bottoms.
Fox92 Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Don't think Stoke "ole" but then again I doubt they could, the ball spent most of the time in the air.
DB11 Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 Don't think Stoke "ole" but then again I doubt they could, the ball spent most of the time in the air. Maybe a few years ago but they've not been like that for a while now...
Fox92 Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 Maybe a few years ago but they've not been like that for a while now... Well they seemed that way when I went Stoke away this season.
AndWhat? Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 Would also have been hard for Stoke fans do to it as Stoke fans don't chant
Guest Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 Really cos I wish we would pass it around the back four for 5 minutes like Southampton did, that was riveting football, Ole indeed. Precisely. When I see that I wish their was a basketball type rule for getting out of your own half. People go on about possession stats passing stats etc... but I wish they'd be more meaningful. Passing backwards and passing under no pressure in your own half shouldn't be rated the same as making forward passes etc...
