Zapp Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 jeez, spent the whole evening listening to the radio, yes, THE RADIO for nowt!
Ric Flair Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Sounds like we were quite mediocre tonight and that's putting it kindly. No point being too down though, we're still in decent nick. Need a new reserve goalkeeper though and another striker to help Vardy out.
Guest MattP Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 This was a great chance for a real run at a cup, hugely disappointing to go out after all that hard work against West Ham. Hopefully we'll take the FA Cup far more seriously.
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Unacceptable really. There was no excuse for losing tonight, we've been great in the league, given everyone a game and only lost to Arsenal. The players and manager don't care about this competition, maybe there isn't enough money in it for that. Playing Hull is a great chance to get yourself in a quarter final of a tournament we could actually win, and we pick duds like Schwarzer and Inler who are, wuite frankly, miles away from playing a league game for us. I don't buy that they 'need game time' because we've no intention to play them in a match we take seriously.
BigWesMorgan Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 The chance of Schwarzer saving any of those pens was 0%.
purpleronnie Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Pretty much the worst outcome, not only played a draining 120 minutes but lose in such a demoralizing way. It will take a great effort to rebound from this.
possiblygeorge Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 So this is what a loss feels like Four losses since March (if i recall correctly). We move forward. Bring on West Brom.
foxes21 Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I feel sorry for Hull fans. We played our reserves and it took them penalties to win. For an aspiring premier league club that must be worrying. I suppose they can have Schwarzer when they come up
EGBFitness Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Standard 2nd string away from home against lower league opposition type performance. Seen it a million times in this sport. Really disappointed personally. I support Leicester City in the hope of us winning trophies, not playing to stay in a league that just serves to line the pockets of the owners. You sound like you've been hanging around Newcastle fans Don't get me wrong I would love to see us at Wembley and winning a trophy but would still take another year in premier than a good cup run this season
DB11 Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Well at least I could build up to accepting the loss once we went to penalties. As if Schwarzer was ever going to save one
ScouseFox Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 think it's harsh to criticise team selection too much, after all this was basically the team that absolutely battered west ham (a good west ham team, too) in a very entertaining game. it should therefore have been enough to beat hull. it wasn't which is a shame. only criticism is obviously of the schwarzer selection, i don't see why you ever really need to "rest" a goalkeeper, and i could possibly understand if it was to give a yoof or second but still quite good choice keeper a shot instead. but some 55 year old donkey? what's the point? chance missed. could've got sheff wed/stoke/everton/other mid table prem teams at home next round and we'd be favourites to go to the semis.
Fox 4 Life Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Rainieri's first mistake IMO, glorious opportunity for some silverware. Let's just hope it doesnt negatively affect the team.
Socks Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Thats what happens when you field a weaker side Slump starts here.... just u watch
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 You do realise pearson signed him and gave him a 2 year contract You do realise Pearson doesn't pick the team any more?
chili_con_carne Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I feel sorry for Hull fans. We played our reserves and it took them penalties to win. For an aspiring premier league club that must be worrying. I suppose they can have Schwarzer when they come up Wow. How embarrassing. They didn't even play there strongest line up
The Doctor Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 You do realise pearson signed him and gave him a 2 year contract You do realise that just because the previous manager signed a player, doesn't mean the new manager has to keep him around?
Ric Flair Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 What a waste . This competition was winnable this year and weve gone out to bloody hull. Whats the point in these half arsed team selections .You either rest players fully or play propererly. Disappointing . Surely football is about winning stuff. Totally disagree. It's important our squad plays games like this. This happened vs West Ham and nobody moaned? Fuchs, King and Benalouane had very good games that games and that gives encouragement if they are called upon in the league. Annoying we've not got through tonight but I'm not that gutted given how our league form is.
chili_con_carne Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 You do realise Pearson doesn't pick the team any more? So he gave him a 2 year contract at age 42 for what reason?
Sunbury Fox Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 This was coming. We should have played a stronger team with at least 3 or 4 first team regulars in. Just hope we don't lose momentum now.
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Sounds like we were quite mediocre tonight and that's putting it kindly. No point being too down though, we're still in decent nick. Need a new reserve goalkeeper though and another striker to help Vardy out. But that's the point, that's why it's so disappointing. There's no good reason why we should have lost tonight. Even when we've been off it a bit in 1st halves this season we've given it a right good go in the 2nd. Is it any coincidence that tonight was the exception? Not for me, we've treated it like a nothing game and now I jut feel embarrassed and gutted. Fed up of this attitude towards the cups, don't people realise they are our only chance of ever winning anything?
yorkie1999 Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I can see why certain players are not getting in the first team.
Corky Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Poor really, seemed like the performance was half-arsed and one penalty decided it. Have to bounce back at the weekend and give the FA Cup a proper go with the first choice keeper and all that.
The Doctor Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 You sound like you've been hanging around Newcastle fans Don't get me wrong I would love to see us at Wembley and winning a trophy but would still take another year in premier than a good cup run this season We're as good as safe though - 19 points, we need about 5 more wins typically and that's assuming that any of villa, newcastle, sunderland or bournemouth won't limp to the end of the season from here. There's zero reason not to take the tournament seriously after the start we've had
Guest seanfox778 Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I'm disappointed by how bad Inler sounded.
