Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 arsenal lost walcott and chamberlain tonight and still lost three zip... would you have been happy with that? No I'd be happy if we won and got into the quarter finals. You can get injured anywhere, in a league match, in training, in your own home. Your point is meaningless. Not seen Kitchandro's name for a while. Oh yeah, it's because we've just lost. Enjoy your evening, fella. That wait must have been killing you. I'm on here every day you utter berk. Funnily enough I seem to be one of the few NOT enjoying us losing a football match. To other people nit's good because we didn't get any injuries. Real supporters they are.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I don't think this will affect our league form in the slightest. We lost on penalties to a reasonable side. And in any case, we were proper shit tonight and were lucky to make it to penalties. We'll be fine on Saturday. Westbrom are a poor side and we'll sweep them aside no problem. Wba will be a hard game. They have a great clean sheet record and will be a tough game. This showing tonight doesn't bode well does it. A draw would be a great result imo
fuchsntf Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 think it's harsh to criticise team selection too much, after all this was basically the team that absolutely battered west ham (a good west ham team, too) in a very entertaining game. it should therefore have been enough to beat hull. it wasn't which is a shame. . Rainieri's first mistake IMO, glorious opportunity for some silverware. Let's just hope it doesnt negatively affect the team. Sort of contradicting views really.. I go for the top one.
Mark_w Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 No I'd be happy if we won and got into the quarter finals. You can get injured anywhere, in a league match, in training, in your own home. You can be attacked just for wearing a black and amber shirt, it's a crazy world.
Guest ttfn Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I make it just us, Sunderland and Newcastle not to have played at the new Wembley in the top flight (could be wrong about Sunderland). Maybe Bournemouth too. Either way it's a load of old bollocks, it's the closest ground to my flat and we never quite manage to get there.
Benji Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Unrealistic to win the competition, but it's always good to go as far as you should - massive missed opportunity though, should really be beating Hull, doesn't matter it's away and doesn't matter if it's a second string team. The onus is on Ranieri though, shame. Can't just blame Mark for not saving a penalty, bit unfair, but i've seen it before. I recall Weale at Cardiff away once and laughing at how pathetic he was trying to save penos. Some positives, can just focus on the league for now - no injuries as far as we know. Not sure about unrealistic. You could probably win the cup this year by only beating one of the 'usual' top 6 teams.

Corky Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 How is it unrealistic to win it? Wigan, Swansea, Birmingham have all won trophies in the last five years. Bradford, Hull, Cardiff have all reached finals.

Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 you need to calm down fella.. think you might have a stroke next time we lose a league game.. And you need to talk some sense but we can't have everything.
Izzy Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 It's O.K. everyone. Daz has got the party started again!!
cityfanlee23 Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 This is the attitude I don't get. Surely some of your fondest memories of us is going to Wembley and winning silverware? Not scraping a lower-mid-table finish so we can make up the numbers in a league that only gives a shit about five or six clubs? We HAVE to focus on the league more than a cup. Premier league survival is worth £100,000,000+ in kept revenue, Just because we are 5th does not mean we can not still end up in a survival scrap (although I doubt it now this season we look pretty safe) Give it another season then I'll care about cups, although this was a fantastic opportunity with arsenal and chelsea out.

Maybe just us and Toon who haven't then? Will remain that way now too
Vindaloo FOX Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 well you can't win them all. positive tonight Chilwell looked good and tonight was a big learning curve for the lad. bring on WBA.
adam Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 How depressing modern day football is ..... Who cares were out .At least we don't have any injuries. Woop woo . I want us to win stuff,Get in Europe and move the club forward. We're not gonna get relegated and were not gonna be in the top ten. Just show a bit of ambition .
Thracian Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I wonder how many of tonight's starting team are going to going to be relevent to our Premiership future. Schwarzer (No chance - we'd surely get a loanee if anything happened to Kasper though I can't imagine why we haven't got a better understudy already. DeLaet (A go-to defensive option but no more) Benny (Doubt it) Was (Unlikely now) Chilwell (The most promising and only truly bright light) Inler (I can't see how) King (Sadly we've subdued his attacking strength but he might remain as the go-to midfield replacement for a while) Dodoo (Not especially impressed and doubt he'll make Premiership standard but you never know.) Kramaric (All promise and no return) Shinji (Has support but way over-rated) Albrighton (Not good enough) Altogether that's a lot of outlay for a seriously questionable return.

AKCJ Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Why was it our second string? If it's black, you'll say it's white. It was obviously our second string. We made 10 changes including playing two academy lads.
RedSoxUK Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Why? Not sure about unrealistic. You could probably win the cup this year by only beating one of the 'usual' top 6 teams. You still have to win in the QF, SF and F against the likes of possibly Liverpool, Man City, and Man U. It's doable and certainly achievable, doesn't stop it being unrealistic.
EGBFitness Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 This is the attitude I don't get. Surely some of your fondest memories of us is going to Wembley and winning silverware? Not scraping a lower-mid-table finish so we can make up the numbers in a league that only gives a shit about five or six clubs? Yeah it is, I was there with Palace 96 (I know it's play offs but still Wembley and winning a cup) and Middlesborough, Spurs and Tranmere. These are great memories and one I wish us to have more of, I'm not totally disagreeing with what you put but it is only our second season back in the premier. I would rather have another year in the prem rather than s cup run at this current stage. If we get a solid season behind us this year and then build on it then sure lets push more of cup runs too
