Manchester United.. Next up!...

pretty good that united have someone up front that we sent back off a loan in the championship cos he was shite, meanwhile we've got a record breaking top scorer and the two best players in the league in our attack. must be tough for them to watch us play football when we're on tele and then go back to having to watch united again the week after. at least they get to watch an enjoyable match next week, might even be some running and some shots and something actually happening

Sounding like a broken record but didnt Kane struggle at use lot? lmao best two players in the league. Reminds me of when Southampton thought their players were the best. You'll be lucky to finish in top 10. Seen it happen plently of times, thats what makes this forum's brashness and general aroggance weird. Does anyone actually think they'll finish above us? Only on the other page I saw a combined xi and it was laughable. Most of Leicester's players came up with them in the championship. Difference between good form and sustained quality. Class shows it always does. See you in may scousefox.

Like Schneidelin and Luke Shaw you mean?

we have got the two best players in the league at the moment? that's pretty much a fact.

looking forward to seeing you in may, is it a date

They weren't? lol its hilarious how no one actually watches us. Van persie is stinking it up for Fenerbache and Hernandez while doing well for Leverkusen had petered out massively for us and was underwhelming in his final 2 years and his ceiling had seemingly been reached.

Why would we watch Man U? We're fans of football, not Hello magazine.

BUT!!!! hang on for one moment!!

soooo.... what you're saying is...

You are honestly saying this on a public forum....

... you're saying...Jessie Lingard is a better player than RVP!! :crylaugh:

Posted

Man U fans are over rating Lingard because he's the one player in their wretched team that has a shred of attacking intent. Remember when we used to do the same with Stephen Hughes?

Lmao. You barely watch us. We've been horrendous to watch for about 6 years, in Fergie's last few years some of the games were absolutely dire. Nostalgia at its best. Also theres a huge difference between being boring and being a bad team.

I must admit I rarely watch Manure but I have to say I really enjoyed watching you play in Leicester last season. Great entertainment value. Hope it's the same again this weekend.

I've been on this forum quite abit and seen your hilarious posts in regards to is. Don't post to me please the 'scouse' in your name couldn't be more apt. Smalling is the best cb in the league atm.

We'll see how he handles a real attacker this week won't we?

I don't think anybody on here has suggested we'll finish about you without messing around. We're Leicester City, not Manchester United, we don't expect to be top of the league and we're just enjoying it at the minute. We've gone through a lot more than what you can ever imagine, it would test the best of supporters, so top be top of the top flight right now is nice.

Do I think we'll win the league? No. Do I think we'll finish top four? No. But do I think you'll win the league? No. There's certainly no need to fear you as a top top club anymore. I remember going to a game at Filbert Street and your side included the likes of Keane, Staam, Giggs and Cole. You're not as strong as that now and we highlighted that last season when little Leicester City came from 1-3 down to beat you.

I wouldn't say it's arrogance that we think we can win on Saturday, I think it's more confidence. And why not. I'd certainly take a draw on Saturday, no doubt about it, but I don't fear Manchester United as much as I fear Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.

I enjoy seeing us doing well so far given so many tipped us for relegation this season. Probably why Southampton fans think so much of their players because all of their best players were sold and they were then tipped to go down by plenty of pundits. Lallana, Shaw, Lambert and Lovren all went to Liverpool and remind me again where did Shaw and Schneiderlin move to?

This will be a test for sure and It'll be interesting to find out where we actually sit in the top four and are we good as the other top four?. Win this and we can surely start thinking about the potential of champions league football. However am I right in saying everybody will be satisfied with a draw!? even a bore goalless draw?

I have full respect for United. We can only aspire to be like them. We are in the form of our lives but this will be a great test. They will deny us space and time around their box. We will need to defend exceptionally well and look after the ball very carefully.

A few Leicester fans on here need to wind their necks in or they could end up looking very silly.

First paragraph, spot on. Second paragraph , not so much. There's a massive difference between saying we can beat them to saying we will.

which ones? as pre match goading threads go this is very tame. a lot think we might get a result because we are top of the league and have only failed to get a point in one game this season. people are saying they dont think united are as good as this united fan thinks they are. unless they beat us about 13-0 and we then get relegated nobody is "going to look very silly".

Why should we care?

We come from obscurity and will return there eventually.

Let us bullshit the plastic mancs for a second consecutive year.

Ye and we bought them. When we were linked to Mahrez people suggested he'd rather stay lol

Bit of talent? lol. Our standards are not comparable.

Good post. Why do you fear Chelsea/Arsenal/City though? Chelsea have been horrendous. Arsenal are nothing to scream at and City with Pellegrini aren't frightening either.

If you're talking about things on the pitch, then yes, we should aspire to be as successful as them. And I would love the majority of their current players. But, if you are referring to the club in general, then I would have to disagree massively.

Man U are a successful business for whom millions of glory hunters worldwide have jumped on the bandwagon of. We appreciate our success because we've seen the bad times, all they know is the good. A very small percent of fans are from Manchester so there is no sense of local pride attached to their support. Unlike them, we are supporting our city as well as our football club.

I never want our fan base to be anything like Man United's. We should be grateful for what we have here.

I fear an on-form Chelsea more than United, though admittedly not current Chelsea.

Our defense is relatively poor. Man City have much more attacking intent than United, and so do Arsenal; I'd be much more concerned that we may taking an absolute hammering from those two than United.

Now Man U have a solid defense (mainly by just keeping the ball and passing sideways for 85 minutes a game). If there's any game we wont score in, it's probably this one, but on the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me to see us keep a clean sheet, as United are poor attackers; Martial is good, and I rate Mata, but Rooney is pretty shocking, and Lindgard isn't anything to worry about.

I honestly think that it will probably be a 1 - 0 United-nicking-a-win game, but I would love for us to win this one again.

Fair enough. I don't think under LVG we've ever scored more than 3 so it makes sense teams wouldn't be scared of us while those teams mentioned hit 4/5's against teams some weekends so aura is created. Our best games under LVG are the big ones, bar the Arsenal game we have an excellent record of always turning up vs rivals in table.

If anyone wants to know the reason why so many people dislike Manchester United, then there is no need to look any further than their fanbase, especially the way they post online. No Leicester fan seriously believes that we are definitely going to win the league. We've never won the league. We've not been anywhere close to it for decades, beyond the lifetime of most of our fans. So what are we doing now we are in this lofty and unexpected position? We are enjoying ourselves. Having a bit of fun. Having the occasional daydream, hoping for a bit of glory. Enjoying the media spotlight, which is being shined on us, which is refreshing after being completely ignored for years.

But ... what is that sound on the horizon? That high pitched, squealing noise? Oh. It's Man U fans. Squawking about how arrogant we are, how we've not played any 'big' teams, how unfair the fixture list is, how they are going to give us a good thrashing because we have Championship players. "They lost to Arsenal, they've got no chance of winning the title" - conveniently forgetting they lost equally as badly to Arsenal, although they don't see fit to immediately write off their own title chances, they are desperate that the small club fans must kill their own dreams. KNOW YOUR PLACE, SMALL CLUB. WE ARE THE MIGHTY MANCHESTER UNITED. EVERYBODY GO BACK TO TALKING ABOUT US NOW PLEASE, STOP TALKING ABOUT OTHER TEAMS.

These entitled bellends have had so many titles and cups to enjoy over the years, so much winning, that the moment they don't win a game or a trophy, they start howling like a spoiled child who has been deprived of their favourite toy. Well, now a different team is having a go at the top of the league. A team with fans who aren't preconditioned to expect a top 4 place as a minimum. A team new to success. So, we would like to enjoy ourselves. But this is unacceptable to Man U fans, they have to have all the glory, all the media attention to themselves.

We get it. We know we probably won't stay up here. We know we don't have a squad full of players worth hundreds of millions of pounds. We know we've only played 13 out of the 19 opposition teams so far. We know you've won a lot of games so far. We know your defense is good. We were fully aware of all of these things, most people with a set of eyes and an ability to look up a fixture list is aware of it. You haven't enlightened anyone to anything. You are just being a bunch of stuck up, killjoy miserable bastards, and there isn't a single Leicester City fan who is interested in your input. Piss off and rain on someone else's parade.

Do people genuinely not think Lingaard looks a good prospect now? We've had plenty on loan that have looked pretty shocking. Kane was utterly woeful in a blue shirt.

Lingaard could easily become a very good player.

Well I think he could become an above average player, but he looks more of a limited prospect really.
