Also I hate to bring this topic up again, but the treatment of Okazaki from our fans is disgraceful.

I can just about sit there and ignore the moronic comments about his ability and job he does in the team as unfortunately some people just aren't educated enough to see how useful he can be.

I was sat in front of someone today who was being straight up racist: 'get that ****ing jap off' 'that jap is a waste of space' 'that jappy ozagaki is useless'. It makes my own view of Leicester fans so negative and it needs to stpp

I don't think people understand his role.

At Everton last week someone in front of me shouted "he can't play up front with Vardy get him off two doesn't work", not realising Okazaki plays behind Vardy.

Not a great shock, I didn't think we were great at Everton but did get the three points there, we weren't great again and didn't get away with it again. We've still taken 10 points from the first five of our six game 'difficult run' that most people reckoned would be 8 at most.

Let's just hope we get back on it Tuesday night. We're not going to win the title but the top four is definitely doable and that would be amazing if we could do it.

When Kramaric came on, I really thought it was his opportunity to win back some credibility but he had no service. What a story that would have been.

I don't think it's fair to bring him on for just 10-mins. He should have been given 30-mins and replaced Okazaki. You cannot judge someone on just a few measly minutes like that. We were 1-0 down and going nowhere so why not?

He said 'he can't hold the ball up for shit' when that's not even his job. His job is to, along with Vardy, set the pace for the team in terms of our breakaways and off the ball work.

Everyone can have a bad day and most have performed week in week out, and played out of there skin. The likes of Fuchs, Vardy, Mahrez, Albrighton.

King was poor today but is it his fault? His limitations are obvious, but due to injury is the best option we have.

My frustration is when we have a player who has been largely poor this season, gets in over another player who has equipped himself (bar finishing probably, which comes with sharpness) well when he has played.

My frustration is not Okazaki, as you can see he gives 100%, but with Claudio/Board who insist he plays regardless when we play better with Ulloa (statistically proven over and over again) and he is a better player.

I wouldn't be giving Okazaki the hip I am if we didn't have better options on the bench, but we do.

Okazaki got no service today due to us only having one player in midfield.

Ulloa came on for the last 25 minutes during which we had woken up and we're getting the ball forward, but Leo just did his out of control horse impression, jumping about letting the ball bounce off him in random directions.

The only positive thing I can say about Ulloa's performance is that for once he didn't miss a sitter.

I'm not criticising him. I'm saying he didn't get any service. I'm a big fan of his and I'm sure he'd do well with a run in the team.

Regardless of what I think of your post and opinion, your description of Ulloa was funny. lol

They outplayed us today. Never really got started at all and everyone was subpar.

The ground was nice and damned impressive when they actually scored and started singing.

Thought our support today was also subpar.

The fact that im so disapointed with a 1-0 loss to Liverpool at anfield shows how far weve come.

It was one of those days, everything that we tried... failed, every flick was stopped, every pass blocked, every header and chest didnt quite hit the spot.

We can't really deny that we don't have strength in depth apart from in central midfield. Very disappointed today.

Doesn't bode well for the rest of our flurry of fixtures til the end of January if they are complaining about being tired already.

scraping for positives because i'm really disappointed with this result:

we had a bad day, everyone else has bad days. i would hope our players have the spirit to redeem themselves in the next match.

Well done liverpool, your push for the europa league is back on!!

Totally agree with those talking about keeping things in perspective.

The overreaction brigade please get real ffs.

This is not about not striving to improve or analysis it's about the reality of what seems like some key players were below par and they tactically nullified us.

Not the end of the world and only our SECOND defeat of the season!

Liverpool deserved the victory today and even in the middle of the first half I sensed it would be their day.

We initially did well with our game plan (soaking up the pressure), however we could not string a pass today. Partly because of us, but mainly due to Liverpool's pressing game.

Thought Okazaki offered nothing, not for the first time and I'll admit I'm not his biggest fan. Huth had a poor game today - showed a lack of composure at times, trying to play an unplayable offside traps.

Subs came too late for me. Ulloa should have came on at half-time, was clear Okazaki was offering nothing up top.

Need to forget and still have the same mentality going into Man City as we did for Liverpool. Onwards and upwards!

N'golo Kante the major positive for me today, and in some respects probably his best performance.

To be the best player on the pitch whilst your team is being dominated is some achievement. He was defensively and offensively our best player. The only one who looked tactically sound whilst offensively threatening.

If Arsenal buy him and he doesn't get injured (Big if for the gunners), they win the league, thats how good he is.

Granted Liverpool seemed more determined than us, but what a shite game of football to watch.

No ball skills demonstrated by either side, hoofball from beginning to end.

Disappointing to lose, but Mr. Klopp had obviously done his homework. Much to our detriment.. Hey ho, can't win 'em all..

(I'm trying to find a pisstakeable link to "Cloppa Castle" and failing miserably). Anyone old enough to remember please fell free to help.

Sorry, had a few jars now.

Not today he wasn't, he played alongside.

In fact, towards the end of the first half/beginning of the second he was further forward than vardy.

When Kramaric came on he assumed the 'number 10' role, playing deeper than ulloa.

I had a few wankers around me today, intent of ruining it for other people there was a stand between a couple of fans too. You're not doing the club any favours acting like Neanderthals in your stone island gear thinking you're some kind of hooligan group. And the fact grown men (term used very loosely), egg the younger lads on in embarrassing. It's okay to criticise the players, everyone is entitled to an opinion but do it constructively.

Today was a proper mongathon, I had some guy behind me who was willing for Vardy and Mahrez to be subbed and then when it happened he was cursing as we didn't have a goal scorer on the pitch.

Liverpool did a number on us today and we had no answer for it but ****ing hell we aren't going to win the league, it would be an astonishing achievement if we got into Europe so let's chill out and enjoy what is probably one of our best ever teams.

Well played Liverpool, I knew this was going to be our toughest game after their 3-0 defeat last sunday, Klopp is no fool he would have been drilling them all week. Lets see how we can bounce back, we should learn what we can from this performance then put it in the rear view mirror and concentrate on our next game.

Forget all the hype journalists have been waiting for this to happen for weeks and will no doubt make a bigger deal out of it than it is, just one game our goal is still 40 points

Today shows why we won't win the league.

Vardy apparently played with a virus and wasn't anywhere near 100%

This shows our lack of strength in depth up front.

Ulloa and Oza are not good enough to score enough goals if Vardy is not on his game.

I think it's imperative (if we won't to win the league) that we get another top striker at the club.

I'm afraid neither Ulloa, Shinji nor Kram will score us anywhere near the goals Vardy does, or play like he plays.

A team really having title aspirations would today have rested Vardy and brought in someone nearly as good.

I agree Col. Just wondered what you thought to the idea that if Vardy has got a virus and is under the weather, plus he's possibly still carrying a bit of an injury, that it may be worth resting him? It's a long season and better perhaps have him at 100% for many games rather than risk him for the one. Whilst I also agree with the scoring hit we may take, perhaps the one game with Okazaki in the Vardy position with Krameric behind worth a one off try. One, we could see if Okazaki is capable of it and two we'd put a few ghosts to bed re Krameric as he'd get a full chance to stake a claim and no excuses if he's clearly not up to it. King for me is worth another go but with Inler on the sidelines for half time if no improvement. Vardy and and Drinky too precious to risk if not fully fit plus if they did lose a very loseable match against Man City, the return of two fit talisman would be a lift for the next game.

Seemed to me the 442 setup by Klopp took away the play down the flanks and forced us inside.  Claudio never really had an answer for it. All is well though. Kompany made it 9 minutes today before coming off, so I doubt we see him Tuesday.  Get at least a point out of that game and move on to the second half of the season.

Question: if Ulloa walked into any Championship team, would he clearly be the best striker on that squad? How about Kramma? Or Okazaki?

I think the attack needs to be bolstered incrementally, and January offers the chance if the right opportunity comes up.

The average player position thing has Okazaki directly behind Vardy in line with Mahrez

Just an all round poor performance unfortunately. I don't think anyone played well.

We missed drinky getting his foot on the ball in the middle and we're hopeless up front apart from vards.

Schmeichel looks more replaceable by the week.

Other than that we've just got to put a line through it and look to man city.

Definetly, who knows? and most likely.

How about you lay off the guy who is responsible for us still being in this league (ulloa), the guy who hasn't really had a chance (kram) and the guy who has been in the country half a season (okazaki).

Austin is better than all 3....but every side would take all 3 in a heartbeat.
