Tielemans63 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 The defence were bloody brilliant tonight. When you think their centre halves cost £60 million+, it's a joke really. Huth and Wes were magnificent.
RutlandFox91 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Who was it that ran into the back of Huth's hand and fell down like a sack of potatoes? haha Otemendi - embarrassing
Izzy Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Decent enough result but very ordinary performance overall. Although we are a counter attacking team it is a concern that we seem to have a weakness in keeping possession. In most matches we are lucky to get to 40% and it seemed much lower tonight? Drinkwater is decent but we need to find another Cambiasso type player and Inler isn't it. With all the love and respect in the world mate, that's complete bollux
FoxesFan94 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Who was it that ran into the back of Huth's hand and fell down like a sack of potatoes? haha Otamendi I think
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Clean sheet first time this season? I'm well chuffed to get a point tonight. Gonna push the boat out and say Kante is one of the best players I've seen in a City shirt. He is ESSENTIAL to this team and we must keep him. I agree re Kante ColWhat a machine, and so important for our team both defensively and going forward at times 0-0 fair result
justfoxes Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Savage predicted on Five Live in August Aston Villa would be an 'outside bet' for a champions league place!Robbie savage tonight looked like a jedwood reject the bloke is a tool I used to idolise the bloke now he's just an Arse kissing knob !!
promised land Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Best 0.0 draw I've seen in ages, both teams having a go but the Ref was shocking for both teams. 2nd in the Premier League going into 2016, who would have predicted that.... Up the City...... Wasn't our last 0,0 the last away of last season when we confirmed our status? Yes the ref was very poor, refs like that should be dropped a couple of leagues on those displays. Totally bias to them all game, they headed out for a corner late on, he gives goal kick. Linos won't make a call without looking at him first then going his way. Utter disgrace.
dayday Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 If Howard Webb had said it was a penalty, Savage would of disagreed Savage is just a WUM!
Corky Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 We've now taken at least a point from every side we've faced since promotion.
johnny the fox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Think we gave up possession too much tonight..but to get a result without playing our best has got to be progress...

justfoxes Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Quite funny on the Manc site saying savage is for them and Howard is a red that's not much of a wholesome advertisement for man city Robbie Savage loves them
Monsell1976 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Very good result, and a good solid team performance. We got lucky at times, and I would have thought man city players would have made the chances and possession count, but credit to our team. And finally we did well to get a point with that ref, one of the worst refs for both sides all season.
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Think we gave up possession too much tonight..but to get a result without playing our best has got to be progress... Agree with that. Our inability to keep the ball in the opening 30 minutes was frustrating and we were too deep I felt which meant we pressurised ourselves. But 2nd half was an improvement and the point is a good one.
Webbo Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 I wonder if the first half formation has down to players fitness and/or trying to keep Inler happy rather than tactical?
LCFCLiamB Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Back to 4-4-2 next week definitely. Not as threatening with Vardy on his own
ronnup Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Serious top team performance that. Very pleased. Of Vardy or Mahrez had have been fully fit we win that.
MC Prussian Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 All in all, a decent result against a very good Manchester City. You look at their roster and every single position is filled with expensive talent. Kudos to the entire LCFC team for putting up a good fight today, apart from a few erratic moments in the first half where the players needed to adjust to a completely new formation, we played really well and contained the opposition for large stretches. Quite an achievement with such a relatively "cheap" squad, don't you think? The cautious approach almost paid off in the shape of a winner. We can be very proud of how far we've come and to be joint top of the table (only second on goal difference) is an amazing achievement. Well done! Now take that spirit and effort into the new year and the first home game of 2016.

Foxey id Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 The ref was shocking Monsey you are right Spoilt an otherwise end to end entertaining game It wasnt that entertaining, far too scrappy to be called entertaining
eastendfox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Too much Kante love. The little man is great no question, but quite a few of the times we gave away possession were down to him. Morgan and Huth both more important today to getting a point, in fact I struggle to recall a single error from either of them.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 It wasnt that entertaining, far too scrappy to be called entertainingDon't get me wrong it wasn't game of the season but I personally thought it was reasonably entertaining apart from the ref being a cock
Leicesterpool Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Fair result by the sounds of it, both teams had really strong defences. Can't complain 0-0 against Man City and sitting second in the premier league just before the new year doesn't sound bad at all.
UPinCarolina Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Decent enough result but very ordinary performance overall. DJ Barry Hammond Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Back to 4-4-2 next week definitely. Not as threatening with Vardy on his own I wouldn't be opposed to us going with that formation again for a few games... Become more familiar with it, grow into it and see what it gets us.
