Dan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 the most pleasing part was that they brought kane and alli on to swing the game their way with half an hour to go and kane literally touched the ball about three times. against a completely second choice back four. Our defensive organisation will always be a plus. Suppose you could say we get away with it as people don't expect us to go and attack Spurs at WHL. We can defend and we can do it well. Obviously the individuals matter but it's how we're defending as a unit that impresses me, I'd be confident with any two of our four defenders in most games and it isn't often you've been able to say that about us. It reminds me of Liverpool v Chelsea a couple of years back, when Liverpool had won 11 games in a row, were scoring left right and centre and yet a Chelsea defence consisting of a kid making his senior debut (I think) at centre half kept them at bay and they won 0-2.
WinslowFox Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Be nice to have an impartial ref for this one so we can play them on a level playing field, however I'm guessing I may be asking for a little too much
FoxesFan94 Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Any idea who the ref is for Wednesday's match? It better not be Madley.
Harry - LCFC Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Any idea who the ref is for Wednesday's match? It better not be Madley. Lee Mason is refereeing the game
Foxey id Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I feel a lot more confident about this after watching that game earlier. Maybe not a win but I don't fear them as much as beforehand. We kept them largely at bay with a very changed team. Their team was also largely changed
dylanlegend Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 One start and suddenly Gray is ahead of Albrighton for everyone? It's ridiculous
steveherbe Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 We're having quite a good little battle with Spurs since we got promoted (and as others have said, we've not had the tub of the green): December 2014 (Home, League) 1-2 - Battered them, should have had a penalty at the end. January 2015 (Away, Cup) 2-1 - Last minute winner, Kramaric booked for being wiped out by Vorm March 2015 (Away, League) 3-4 Spurs get dodgy penalty at 2-2 after decent fightback. August 2015 (Home, League) 1-1 Even game. Again should have had a penalty when Vertonghen fouled Mahrez. January 2016 (Away, Cup) 2-2 Close game ends in a draw after another Spurs penalty decision goes their way. We've now got 2 more games in the next 10 days meaning we'll have played Spurs 7 times in under 13 months. Spookily though, they will have played us 7 times in the last 13 months as well. What are the odds of that?
dylanlegend Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 As said before the cup game it might do us better to go a goal down, and in this game, for some reason we 'turn up' when the other team score first, we play a lot better and seem to be clinical in front of goal!
BoyJones Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Their ground and crowd are probably the least intimidating in the league. Been there quite a few times and the ground has always being quiet for long periods. Strangely the big three London clubs are all comparatively poor in vocal support. Confident we can do the business, as usual will depend on no silly errors. If Kasper keeps his focus and makes no mistakes, expect us to win.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Wanna win this match? Stop Harry Kane and Christian Erikssen. Do that, we'll win.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 6 pointer, this one. Would be happy with a draw really, as with any away game with direct competitors for top 4. Gray looked absolutely knackered when he came off on Sunday, so I would start him in the replay.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Wanna win this match? Stop Harry Kane and Christian Erikssen. Do that, we'll win. Every time they play us, these two are the ones that do the damage, so I agree let's break their legs early on
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Sundays result and the manner it happened is probably the best thing for us to fire us up for tomorrow
glen parva fox Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 We always seem to get a sh.t ref when we play these away
st albans fox Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Wanna win this match? Stop Harry Kane and Christian Erikssen. Do that, we'll win. Not sure Erikssen will start col.

The London grounds are full of tourists and cooperate type men in suits
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Might as well give them a 1 goal head start becasue we all know that big chinned tw@t is going to score again. Sunday was really promising, as long as Riyad and Vards are better than they were against Bournemouth we've got a good chance. Would take a draw, and I'll predict a tight 1-1, Kane for them, Leo for us.

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 That's not saying much, he was woeful Exactly. He created nothing against Bmouth, he only needs to come up with one moment of magic, it's going to be a tight game and that could be the difference!
Nod.E Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Harry Kane looks like he was created by Chris (Simpsons Artist)
simon789us Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Tough game would take a point now hoping for a smash and grab 3 points though

AmyLGK Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 MEH! I've got a music team meeting tomorrow so I'm going to miss this Would be happy with a draw...but after Sunday I'm after blood!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!
Ric Flair Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 Can't work out if we'll go 4-4-2 from the start or 4-5-1. If it's the latter then Vardy must play as we're so poor with just Ulloa up top
