Form Last 10

Recommended Posts

Despite our recent "blip" in form, we are still the form team in the last 10 games as the table below shows, best defence and only one goal off top scorers. All that after the so called difficult Christmas period in which we would supposedly fall away.

When will they start to take us seriously?

Why take spawny hoofball merchants seriously... after all we've not played any decent yet, errrr... we've not played anyone decent away yet errr... we've not played anyone decent on a Sunday Afternoon, during the full moon, when it's raining and below 5˚C.

We'll have the opportunity to do it on a cold, rainy (?) night in Stoke soon enough as well.

We're not taken seriously by everyone because we're not a massive club, that's all it is. But we all know we're joint top on merit, were a very, very good side, which has lots of quality and character. We can win by taking the lead and seeing games out and we our great at coming from behind and winning. I

I'd like to point out that cracking defensive record, not only over the festive period and last 10, but really since the Arsenal defeat our defensive record has been nothing short of exceptional.

There really is little us, or them can complain about.

Very true. Arsenal were outstanding that day and those 5 goals make up 20% of all the league goals we've conceded in 21 matches, a bit of an anamoly really. 1 goal total conceded in 4 games against Liverpool, Man City, Bournemouth and Spurs is really quite incredible

It's amazing the effect bringing in Simpson and Fuchs has had on us asa defensive unit, that being said I'm sure CR has made us more compact since then as well as I've noticed he gets our wingers to tuck in when we haven't got the ball to basically make it 4 cms

The goals conceded in the last 10 makes for impressive reading especially when u take into account the teams we've played

Why who have we played?

We still have all the big clubs to play.

Could someone explain who the fvck the big clubs are?

Despite having played every club in the league, and some twice, we still havent played any big clubs.

More importantly where are we in last ten games for possession?

This is what I want to know. Possession wins you games.

Still haven't played any big teams and every single of those 10 games were at home.

When we start playing the real teams we'll be found out for the minnows we are

I did a computer modelling of the rest of the season, taking into account home/away and strength of opposition.

My results surprised me:

1 Leicester

2 Arsenal

3 Tottenham

4 Man City

Here's hoping.

Thing is, approx 25 more points for CL in 17 games. 1.47 points a game.

We have 43 points from 17 games. 2.05 points/game.

We don't need CL form to get into the CL! We need top-half form... and if we beat villla...

It will be 22 points in 16 games. 1.37 ppg

Because we would have 46 points in 22. 2.1 ppg

If we beat Villa (using the table above), we will need mid-table form at most. The numbers are starting to really stack up.

Of course, we do have a tricky group of fixtures coming up...

What an immense year, and season. Quite simply the best i can remember.

Having said that...to be fair.. im still not sure that im "taking us seriously", i cant honestly tell myself that we are a chance to win the league, the rational Leicester fan is always in the back of my head making sure i dont actually believe it.

But who gives a fvck... im loving this season  :scarf:
