sdb Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Someone who can replicate Vardy's work ethic and pace would be incredible. There must be some young gems we know of in our scouting files? Failing that, a more mobile version of Ulloa.
shade Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 .....Vardy was the worst striker on the pitch today. And before you come up with the 'coming back from injury'....'not match fit' etc. How on earth can Ulloa be match fit when not even playing matches? P.s. If you wanna see how important shinji is in this team...watch how we collapsed after he went off. trolling?
Foxxed Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Hold on, Vardy is unquestionably great, even if not scored for a couple of matches. And Shinji is drastically improved the last couple of matches, and is now scoring. And Ulloa comes on, uses his height to upset defenders, giving us an extra chance to score from set peices, at the very least. This is probably the one time in the season I'm becoming fairly happy with our attack.
Socks Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 I like Okazaki , hes a handful ! i suppose that's better than a mouthful
Richmondfox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Austin only wanted to go saintsExactly this. Qpr wanted maximum money for him but they never got it, Austin only wanted to go to Soton and held them to ransom. As for Deeney, watford selling him would be like us selling Vardy and Mahrez, why would they sell their main man when they need him and he would never leave a club he loves for us, a club he doesn't like.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 For weeks I've been saying Ulloah and Okazaki are just not premiership quality. We hoof the ball up to these players and I reckon they only win the header 10% of the time. Neither hold the ball up well and lack physicality. How many times have you seen them fall over or fall on their arses ? Vardy is definitely showing signs of burning out.....his tenacity has dropped and his goals have dried up. He seriously needs help. Austin for £4m is absolute steal and how we didn't go back for him after offering £12m 6months ago is just so confusing. We have a £10m striker at the club that can't make the match say squad so what on earth are we going to do. For me we should go all out to sign Shane Long and Troy Deaney. When you are the manager of Leicester City your opinion and foot stamping will matter. Until then in Claudio I trust
Dan Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Okazaki's been comfortably better than Vardy since he broke the record.
champselect Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Vardy not scored for a few games but still making chances plusnhe has not been fully fit he is our main man, leo a slug whomwins nothing in the air prefer shinji but need another top striker more than any other position!
pazzerfox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 We do need a quality striker. We will never get this kind of opportunity again and so need to grab it with both hands. A quality striker would help immensely.
foxile5 Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 No new top quality striker... No top 4 finish... Simples! Ulloa is certainly a pane! He needs to be careful he doesn't shatter his image.
whoareyaaa Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 why would anyone in there right mind want Deeney ****ing ell
Grewks Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 why would anyone in there right mind want Deeney ****ing ell haha.....maybe because he can score ze pen pens.
Webbo Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Any one can say we need a new striker but I don't think it's t hat easy. You have to find a player that's better than what we've got, who's happy to come here, at a club that's willing to sell for a price we're willing to pay.
HighPeakFox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 We will never get this kind of opportunity again How do you KNOW??????
st albans fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 How do you KNOW?????? It's really not likely is it? . We could be competitive in the top 6 again but to be 7 points clear of 5th with 16 games to go - can't see that happening again if we don't qualify this time around.
Rincewind Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Has the Amarty thread been moved? I don't start many threads in the football section and I could not see a similar thread. Normally there is about 2 or 3 on each speculation.

Rincewind Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 He is not signing!! OK but that does not explain the disappearance of my post. I have seen posts about players who have not signed still talked about a week later. I'm not one to post in the LCFc section for no reason. The articles says its not confirmed and I put in my post it was subject to conditions. OK Someone will post when it is.

Rincewind Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Compliant to the authorities. I blame David Cameron Nah Cannot be bothered. First topic I started in Football section for over a year and it gets deleted. I suppose if the usual suspects do not start the footy topics they will cry. I don't want to upset them.
justfoxes Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Surely our scouting staff etc have more ambition than Deeney ? There are better and more prolific strikers who would come to us now with our high position in the best football league in the world, especially with the likes of Lacazette and others bigging up our achievements! We no longer need to panic buy mediocre players we hopefully now can entice quality players to play for us !
Fox92 Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Deeney? Why are you laughing? It's a perfect suggestion... Similar to Austin (who would have been my preferred choice), Deeney has the same work ethic as our squad and works hard. I don't get why people are sarcastically posting, this thread is valid. It doesn't take a genius to realise we need another striker. Nobody else carries the same threat as Vardy who can be off form or injured at any time of the season. The same people won't be laughing then. I like Okazaki, constantly defended him on here and at games this season, but he isn't a clinical forward. He links the midfield - forward line superbly and will work hard all game, but doesn't seem the type to get us double figure. I love Okazaki behind Vardy, but when Vardy is out we haven't a direct replacement. Again, I like Ulloa but he seems to slow for our style of play this season and I haven't seen enough of Kramaric to suggest he's any better. And obviously Renieri doesn't rate Kramaric either.
