desertfox2 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/488584/Man-United-swoop-for-Kasper-Schmeichel-David-De-Gea Posted in a lot of different newspapers, not only the star. Now I really like Kasper and would be gutted if he left but even with my blue tinted specs a replacement for De Gea???? Granted De Gea is one of if not the best Keeper in the world but lets say Man U offered us 20m for Kasper would we be able to turn it down? Is there anyone available that we would be able to get in quick? Valdes as part of the deal? Of all the transfer rumours of our players this is the one I can see having legs. Madrid will want De gea this window so almost certainly hes off. If they then come in for Kasper would be interesting to see how the club react.
Richmondfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 No chance, it's only because of the link to his dad also they would never offer over 8m for him. The amount of times De Gea has saved them I just couldn't see Kasper doing the same. It might mean they get the ball past the halfway line in less than 25 passes.
desertfox2 Posted 19 January 2016 Author Posted 19 January 2016 Not going anywhere why would he If they bid 20m+ would we turn it down? Family history might mean he would consider it.
ozleicester Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He might because its Man U He Might because its 20 million He Might because dad played there etc I dont think they will, but if they came in for him i can see many reasons why he would go there.

That's the thing if this does have legs and it has been reported in a lot of different sources then it could happen. completely different for me to the Mahrez & Vardy rumours.

This is Man U who have paid some ridiculous transfer fees recently. If they wanted/needed him quick don't think money would be an issue to them. If he asked his Dads advice then pretty sure how that would go.
Steven Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Kasper would be on a hiding to nothing if he went to Man U. He would never escape his father's shadow.

And the 20m bit you seem to have added as there is no mention of price. It's Kasper, how much do you really think he's worth? Begovic went for around 9m
Kilworthfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He'd go. Because he would get more money. And they are his team for obvious reasons. £20 million... Deal. Everyone's happy.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Doesn't both he and his dad get frustrated that Kasper is constantly compared to him? Well moving to manure certainly wouldn't help that. I'm not his biggest fan, superb shot stopper but inconsistent distribution (brilliant on occasions) and my biggest issue with him is his lack of domination in the box. He's a big part of the set up and i'd prefer him to stay because i like the continuity and 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality, but if he went i'd be less bothered than if we lost some of the other more influential players.
GaelicFox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He is a man city boy at heart United fans wouldn't take to him
GingerrrFox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He is a man city boy at heart United fans wouldn't take to him Err. He's a massive Manchester United fan?
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 If he wants to go let him, bet it was boyhood dream gotta be a special kind of tosser to defy him that when you're getting a decent price. Rumours are a bag of shite, though.
ealingfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Would be great business but no way this is true. Surely they'll have realised he isn't good enough.
Stevosevic Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He's not good enough to replace De Gea and be a Manchester United number 1. Nothing in this.
Monsell1976 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He's not good enough to replace De Gea and be a Manchester United number 1. Nothing in this. Agreed, get a decent replacement, and I wouldn't be bothered if he did go.
themightyfin Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 As much as i like Kasper...20 Million? What are you on mate? No way he's worth more than 6m
filbertway Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Southampton like selling their players, can we buy Fraser Forster?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Utd swapping a keeper who is a decent shot stopper but can't control his penalty box, for a decent shot stopper that can't control his penalty box either
thybluefox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Buy him for £1million - sell him for £20million. Hard to turn that kind of business down IMO> That said - I think this rumour is complete BS.
filbertway Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Utd swapping a keeper who is a decent shot stopper but can't control his penalty box, for a decent shot stopper that can't control his penalty box either Sounds like a good deal for them when you put it that way mate, they make £10 million and get a younger keeper. They'd be stupid not to.
Fox92 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I'm afraid this is paper talk again and won't be true. So Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the World who could attract any player in the World, want Schmeichel to replace a World Class goalkeeper? No way. It's his name that gets linked not his ability. Manchester United could get a goalkeeper 10x better than Schmeichel. No way is he worth £20mill either.
