Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 As fans we need to get behind the lads today and cheer them on for the whole game. We've been pretty shit ourselves at Villa away and Spurs and need to our bit and not just sit there and expect to be entertained. A good feeling about today, we've dropped our performance as the temperature has dropped but it will be about ten degrees today. Good football playing weather and Vardy is on his way back from his groin operation and Mahrez to shine after a week's rest on a good pitch and not freezing his nuts off. Stoke have a lot of their key players as 50/50's and may put out a weaker side than normal especially with one eye on Tuesday's semi final versus Liverpool. We really need three points today with the three fixtures coming up after it. Everyone is itching to write us off even though it's only goal difference keeping us from the top so let's keep them waiting at least another week. Do your bit and sing your hearts out for the lads. Well said GerardCheer the Leicester on today with all you've got boys and girls
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Just give up on 4-5-1 and I'll be happy, it doesn't work for us. 4-4-2 and play our game, stop worrying about clean sheets at the expense of goals when it's goals that win games. I think this is what we are all hoping for
smr Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Maybe not 1-0, wasn't the Stoke and Everton game 3-4? Everton have reminded me a bit of us this season, not really posession football, not always rock solid at the back and quite counter attacking and pacey going forwards... could be 2-2 or 3-2 to us.
EnglishOxide Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Kasper Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Kante Drinkwater Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Problem with this side, is if we don't go ahead, the only attacking player to come on and change the game is Gray... We really are lacking in attacking options. Ulloa? Dyer? I know both have pulled up no trees this season but they have affected games when used as subs. Even King could be given an advanced role in a midfield 3.
cc_star Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I think the team thought they were in control last week and were playing within themselves and with a bit of cockiness. Once villa changed it second half, it became difficult to raise it. hopefully that's a lesson learnt - expect Claudio drummed that into them. Today will show if we have the energy to play as we did six weeks ago. we have 10 days rest to come so no reason to be holding anything back. Let's get behind Riyad - he doesn't need sighs if he fails with a dribble or a through ball. He needs to know we are all behind him. He will come through this bad patch. He will likely do that quicker if he knows we are all with him and trust him. Amen dude How great we were before the penalty miss Vs how awful we were after shows what confidence does to our team with the way we play. It's all about the confidence & energy, both fade slightly with every sigh or murmour.
filbertstreet Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 It's all about the confidence someone start a gok wan thread quick
MakingEmileOfIt Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Ulloa? Dyer? I know both have pulled up no trees this season but they have affected games when used as subs. Even King could be given an advanced role in a midfield 3. I like King but if your chasing a game he's not the player that's going to turn it around IMO. Ulloa offers nothing to the team, and Dyer...well the less said the better.
MPH Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I can see Ranieri going for a solid 6-4-0 for this one....
mikey54 Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Anything but a victory today and this forum will be in meltdown by 5 o'clock
FLAN Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 We can't afford a passenger performance from Mahrez against Stoke. Put him on the bench and see if he has the hunger to influence later in the game. He has been very below par of late
Vacamion Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Arsenal and Man City both have tricky fixtures this weekend. Play our cards right and we could be clear at the top of the league...
flintshirefox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Tough match. Stoke are having a good season. Ryan Shawcross went to the primary school my wife teaches at - I hope Jamie gives him a good roasting!
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Anything but a victory today and this forum will be in meltdown by 5 o'clock I think it'll be just about OK if we draw. But if we lose..... Glad I'm off down the pub after the game...
foxinsox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Bit warmer and dryer today, almost spring-like. I think that will suit Kante and Mahrez, who both seem less vigorous in the cold. Not much meat on either of them. A good win would settle some nerves, particularly if Vardy and Mahrez both score. Come on Leicester boys...
Countryfox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 All depends which LC team turns up .... The 2015 version or the 2016 one. Fingers crossed CR weaves a bit of magic in his team talk and gets them buzzing .... 75/25 for me its the 2015 lot !!
weller54 Posted 23 January 2016 Author Posted 23 January 2016 Early goal needed to settle the nerves!...
Countryfox Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Early goal needed to settle the nerves!... Thanks mate mine are pretty shredded at the moment.
The Doctor Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I think it'll be just about OK if we draw. But if we lose..... Glad I'm off down the pub after the game... I don't think it's the result as much as how we get it. People were annoyed last week before the equaliser even went in because of the way we were approaching the match, while no-one was upset at the arsenal defeat because we gave it a good go
sdb Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Just pray we don't all moan and groan if we're not 2-0 up after 20 mins. I'm half expecting a poisness atmosphere after looking at some posts on here this week. Would be the biggest regret ever if we contributed to any kind of slide at this stage In The clubs history.
soxfan3247 Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 3-0 Leicester. You heard it here first so quote me sat evening! I heard it here first...
blueharmie Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 I heard it here first... There we go chaps. Who else heard this? Holla at me brothers!!
Blackpool Fox 69 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Mate, draws are no good, 5th is only 7 points behind and 7 points is a lot down the bottom (Villa hahaha) but sod all up top end, we need to go for it draws are pretty useless, even if we win 1 in 3 it's the same as 3 draws, so may as well go for it! I'm glad Claudio reads the forum and realises I am to be listened to, will gladly accept a job helping him and Shakey!!!
st albans fox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I heard it here first... didnt rama post that drinky would score !!!!!!!
