Not claiming to be itk. Have heard, though, from what should be a good source that there is a massive signing close to completion. Apparently will get lots of media attention and get more people talking about our club. Hope this is true and hopefully a goalscorer. Not been given any clue on a name but my guess (it is only an educated guess) would be Adebayor.  Probably gonna get shot down in flames over the next day or two

 

Not sure that adds up. Adebayor wouldn't be a massive signing and for us to get a load more media attention than we've had this season for being good it would have to be a really, really big player.

 

I can't see anyone we could get who would fit that description.

lol. I get your drift, but the guy did say would cause enormous media coverage. Well he would, maybe for the wrong reasons. There is the link of Italians and maybe also at club level. Was just a thought. Like many on here haven't the slightest clue who our mystery superstar will be. Exciting times though.

mu feeling is that it's someone who has been a big name in the premier before and left only to be tempted now to return maybe till end of season to help us through to top four finish. If we are being crazy? Drogba?

Did say it was only a guess - probably way wide of the mark. Only hope the rest of my post turns out to be accurate. I like the idea of Djeko but again I'm not itk

Don't think there will be any leaks for this one chaps. The club will obviously want to keep everything close to the chest, as about every other club want to sign a striker.

When we signed Drinkwater were there any leaks?

Looks a useful striker and one that would compliment Vardy and his YouTube video even tho that is not gospel looks a pretty handy striker !!

Is anyone else thinking that we may just go for a fourth choice striker rather than someone who will go straight into the team?

No such thing as "4th choice". I reckon Vardy will always be 1st choice when fit so it will be up to the new striker to battle with Leo and Shinji for his partner. I can't see us signing someone like Milik or aboubukar not in January anyway
