i think the 'long journey' is referring to the great distance from ghana to leicester. especially when travelling by dog sled.

More likely the long journey to a 6 figure a week pay packet at a traditional top 4 club

Ayew looks a good shout. Find it hard to believe Swansea would have had to offer him as much as 100k a week. Can that be true? Could we prise him away from Swansea anyway?

Swansea won't have any players on 100k a week.

It baffles me that we'll probably wait until deadline day to sign a striker. We've already dropped 4 points during the window and could potentially drop some more today - if we had signed a striker on January 1st that could all be different and come May could make a massive impact on where we finish.

Just throwing this one out there but if we cant get a striker this window what about fielding a side like this, playin mahrez up front in the middle with vardy to try and get him scoring again.

Amartey huth morgan fuchs

Albrighton d/water kante gray

Mahrez vardy

Mahrez can't play in the number 10 role, he goes missing as we've seen him do on a number of occasions when he's been put there this season only to be moved back out wide or hooked 10/20 mins later

I know but we need to get him scoring again. I dont think hes lost interest or his heads been turned i just think hes havin a bad patch

I think if you have a player who plays wide midfield in a 4-4-2 and scores and assists like Mahrez does you leave him there, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Playing him as a No 10 to get even more goals and assists is akin to killing the golden goose.

There's not a 4-4-2 side in the world that wouldn't be ecstatic with Mahrez's figures. The key is now to bring in another partner for Vardy who can chip in with goals & assists like Vardy & Mahrez do, now that would be something.

The outcome of this thread could define our season. Season could go in many ways depending on this

If Danny Welbeck fit I'd like him. Either Loan or perm

The fitness issue makes him a no go on that point alone. Plus he does not score enough goals.

Don't know if he's been mentioned before but Leigh Griffiths from Celtic might be worth a shout.

Couldn't even cut it in the Championship let alone be a decent signing in the Prem. It's ok scoring goals in Scotland but I think I could score 20 goals a season up there, the standard is woeful.

You're an idiot if you don't think Leigh Griffiths could cut it in the Championship. He's never our standard but regardless of the current level of football in Scotland he'd be one of the best players in the Championship, that is absolutely without question.

Just throwing this out there, I know he's a championship player but he knows where the back of the net is, Blackburns Jordan Rhodes might be worth a put a definite improvement on Ulloa

Is he better than Ulloa?

Good shout but I honk he struggled a bit at Wolves towards the end

Leo scores but one game does not change the fact we need a proper strike partner for Vardy.

Aboubakar has my vote think Vardy and him as a forward line would make the prem shite there pants and European clubs would not think we where an easy tie in champions league next season. Imo
