Even Chelsea fans are rubbing their hands together over this. Would rather buy no one and go with what we have. We ain't done bad so far. This, smacks of desperation to me? He has a supposed calf injury at the moment too? Another Lee Morris not bad for 11.5 million. Since when has 29 been so old....pretty much prime years, no? He will be a quality signing.

He wouldn't be my first choice but he did have a great scoring record and if he rediscovers that form he could be a real asset. If we had been linked in the summer many on here would have been creaming their pants.

That said, he's a proven goal scorer at this level and a known quantity (unlike other targets). Still got this hunch that Musa is the man we really want and the Remy deal is the fall back.

RoyFox Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 Think about it NOW is the time to spend big, prices are going to be massively inflated in the summer - every agent worth his salt knows that each Premier League team will be cash rich and it'll be a sellers market - holding teams to ransom with ridiculously inflated prices. .I'm sure Steve Walsh and Top will be well aware of this. Come to think of it I'd go heavy on another winger/attacking midfielder - El Ghazi perhaps

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 Only time will tell - if he turns out costing a little over £1 million per goal from now until the end of the season, it'll be money well spent. Probably the key factor here is you can't play £11.5 million and it get you results - If this was 80's Italy you could buy yourself the league with that money - but it's not, so it's a bit of a punt, but so is any transfer.
