Loic Remy

Loan to buy would be ideal, but again, I wouldn't be too fussed over a 8 - 12m fee, an established Premier League goalscorer, part of the Chelsea team that won the league, made Newcastle look good, plays and has played for France, at an okay age.

I think you pay this amount for a player, next summer could be madness.

Twitter seems stunned that Remy has chosen us over Newcastle! Last time I checked they were in a relegation scrap?! Villa fans crying too. Love it just for that.

Rudkin: "Loan, summer buy."

Chelsea: "Give us Vardy"

Rudkin: "8m!"

Chelsea: "8m and give us Vardy"

Rudkin: "11.5m"

More like-

Rudkin: Remy on loan?

Chelsea: How about we give you Remy and 20m for Vardy?

Rudkin: 5m for Remy, Vardy not included

Chelsea: 15m?

Rudkin: 4m

Chelsea: 14m?

Rudkin: 3m

Chelsea: 13m?

Rudkin: Forget it.

Chelsea: Ok 11.5m

Rudkin: Ok, deal.

I'm puzzled why some people are against this.

He is a proven Premier League goal scorer. Musa and that kid from Milan are unknown quantities in this league. Remy scores goals. £11m is a bit steep but this is the January window. Get him fit and he will score goals. His injury woes at Chelsea is a bit worrying but he was fit and playing regularly for both QPR and Newcastle.

£19m for Musa or £11m for Remy? For me it's a no brainer.

If this goes through definitely improved the squad over January.

If we do make Europe we'll bring another striker in and so will have Vardy, Remy, Okazaki..."new name" and maybe Ulloa. Im happy with Remy on the bench and I've been impressed with him this season from what I've seen bar the Arsenal game but can't judge purely on that.

Also Remy has premier league goals in him, not a big risk and considering Grabban went for £8m I'm happy with this

I liken this to walking in a bar that's decent, seeing Veltins on tap and after pouring 1/4 of a punt the barrels goes and here's none left. You go for Sagres and that also splutters before the pint is poured and so you settle for San Miguel a beer you happily drink most of the time anyway.

Remy is a damn good fcukin player. Knows the league, he's quick and a good finisher. It's a relief if we get him.

It has been reported that a bid for Loic Remy rumoured around £11.5mn has been accepted. Not convinced he is shoe in myself but what do I know?
