DB11 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Remy won't be coming to LCFC, wages too high apparently Apparently according to who? You?
themightyfin Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-TRANSFER-NEWS-Claudio-Ranieri/story-28646892-detail/story.html? Â Â Still on
thybluefox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Remy won't be coming to LCFC, wages too high apparently   Erm not sure were you got that from when Chelsea have said they will pay 60% of his wages.  So much guess work going on, its beautiful.Â
Gerard Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Erm not sure were you got that from when Chelsea have said they will pay 60% of his wages.  No way is that true.  If Remy is on £80k a week can you see Chelsea paying £48k a week whilst the other club pay £32k a week with no loan fee?  There are loads of clubs who would have Remy on loan given half a chance.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Cambiasso killed the ITK era on FoxestalkAnd video killed the radio star.
MPH Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 And video killed the radio star. Â Â In my mind, and in your heart...
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 And video killed the radio star. Oh you 70/80's pop guru BTS
ktfox59 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Erm not sure were you got that from when Chelsea have said they will pay 60% of his wages.if and a big if this is accurate, it does tie in with the speculation that Remy would be on around 100k so 40k is around our wage structure this season. Can see this being the problem why it's difficult to get players in, players being signed potentially, for 22m are not coming here for that kind of wage surely? Hence gayle
m4DD0gg Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 All seems a bit odd, if we are willing to offer huge transfer fee's upto (reportedly) 20 million then surely we have a wage structure that reflects this. Â If the salary cap is as reported 40K per week we can forget about ever signing the likes of Remy and target the Gayles of this world.
David Guiza Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 So glad some of the posters on here aren't in business, for their own sakes. The 'we have money so why don't we spend it?' motto is the Sven era in one sentence.
SecretPro Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 On here we always get comments about how we shouldn't sign that player or this player as his wages are to high and it would upset the others. Well, this is football, man up - how do other clubs manage to co exist? If we do have a 40k wage cap than imo that would be a massive barrier for progression.
hackneyfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I don't believe there's a cap of 40k (I didn't believe it last season either), allegedly we can't move Inler on because of his salary.
MPH Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 . The 'we have money so why don't we spend it on ageing overrated has-beens?' motto is the Sven era in one sentence.

SB87_LCFC Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 According to Twitter, Remy going to speak to West Ham

They don't to the level we do, I would imagine is the point. Â So many players saying it's the best group, the best spirit, the best togetherness etc. When it's like that you get more out of people, just like we did under O'Neill. Â It's no coincidence that whenever teams have an amazing spirit, you get that little bit more from people. So that players deemed pretty average by others, become greater than the sum of their parts. Â When that spirit is so key, I think it's understandable to not what to rock the boat unless you really have to. According to Twitter, Remy going to speak to West Ham Yeah that looks kosher.

How do you think the other players would react if they've worked their arses off and player out their skins all season to get us top on merit and with a fantastic team spirit, then another player who's been mediocre for 18 months swans in on twice the money of any of them?Signing a player on stupid wages right now would do more harm than good.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I don't believe there's a cap of 40k (I didn't believe it last season either), allegedly we can't move Inler on because of his salary. Assuming the buyers are in Europe, £40k a week being €55k a week seems a lot more expensive than it might have done 18 months or so ago. If we're demanding a loan fee as well it's hardly a surprise that European clubs, of which there are maybe 25 outside England who can afford those sorts of wages, aren't queueing around the block for a player who's looked very out of sorts this season.

hackneyfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Correct Vardy is on £46,500 You know that how?
FoxesFan94 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 According to Twitter, Remy going to speak to West Ham  "31 following/ 136 followers" Yeah totally legit.
artursteppe Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If we want Remy, there is always a way to get around problems. In this case we could ask Chelsea to 'inflate' the loan fee, for them to pay Remy part of his salary (on the Q.T.), and we pay him just the £40K per week. Job done. No-one the wiser, everybody happy.
