Thracian Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Quite why Kante would wish to leave the potential sequel film of Leicester City and the chance to play Champions League football for a club and fans that think the world of him I can't imagine. It's not as if he'd be on minimum wage or sitting twiddling his thumbs on some so-called superclub's bench! By the time the film's out we might be as super a superclub as any of them. It's all been done at Barcelona, Arsenal and Real Madrid. He'dl me making history - and becoming a part of football folklore at Leicester.
UPinCarolina Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 We have an unprecedented window of about 3 years here, before our core starts to age. Pay them all, keep what we can.
Xen Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Think it was when Pearson (and obviously Steve Walsh) were here, back in about 2009 when he was still at Lech Poznan? Quite possibly. It was definitely around that time as it was before he left LP, so you're probably right.

Where we see Leicester city become the first team in two decades to retain the champions league
jayfox26 Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I really hope we keep both Mahrez and Kante but I feel out of the two of them Kante will be most in demand and the most difficult for us to replace. He is undoubtedly the best defensive midfielder in the world at the moment and I can see why Barcelona and Real would want to sign him. He is the next Makelele and there aren't many of these types of players around that are as good as Kante. He would do as good a job for Barcelona or Real as he has for us
MC Prussian Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Totti to add another year at Roma. http://www.espnfc.com/as-roma/story/2861093/roma-poised-to-announce-new-francesco-totti-deal-signed-reports I do hope that puts the silly rumour of him joining Leicester to bed.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 wanyama is awful Wanyama can be a liability in terms of free kicks conceded. He's no Kante in that respect. Kante tackles very often without conceding a free kick. Because he's so quick. Wanyama is much slower and lunges into challenges. To replace Kante with Wanyama is to replace a class midfielder with a bang average one.

foxes21 Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 'Borussia will not activate the purchase option for Martin Hinteregger' Will we be back in for him, to buddy up with Dragovic? He musn't have impressed, if Borussia don't want him. Then again, we have a thing of getting the best out of unwanted players
MC Prussian Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Joãozinho (FK Krasnodar). http://mais.uol.com.br/view/t2pjn3videvl/os-melhores-lances-de-joaozinho-no-krasnodar-04020D193960D4B15326?types=A& Passing, shooting, dribbling, skills, free-kicks - he's tiny (5ft 4in), but goooood.

Lestoh Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 What do we think about Kante's apparent £20m buyout clause then?
foxes21 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 What do we think about Kante's apparent £20m buyout clause then? Typical rumour made by the press who don't know anything. Lets move on.
Benguin Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Should we go back in for Veretout and aranguiz this summer and just when the deals nearing completion, pull out because they are not big enough for us?
ronnup Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Feeling the Bolasie shouts to be honest. So much potential.

DangerFox Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 The only player we would seriously miss, is Kante. Mahrez yes toa certain extent but definitely Kante. Irreplaceable for me!
-MaTaN- Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Bakambu from Villarreal. This guy is the real deal.
Xen Posted 1 May 2016 Posted 1 May 2016 http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/511961/Manchester-United-Leicester-N-Golo-Kante If United are supposedly going to offer £30m, surely that is evidence that the 20m buyout clause rumours are a load of crap...
