Kante has three years on his contract left and is one of our main players and in a side that will possibly be champions and in Pot 1 of the CL. He has no reason to demand to leave and if he does he'll cost an arm and a leg, Leicester City hold all the cards.

Cambiasso was good but let's be fair Drinkwater has replaced him with ease this year, we are top of the league and the way Kante steals balls of the opposition is exactly why we are so good on the counter, I'd just to see us play one champions league campaign with Kante, Mahrez and Vardy in the team, I honestly think we could do some real damage.

stevelcfc Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 As I said in another thread, I'm very confident that Kante doesn't have a release clause given the huge inconsistencies in the reports, the fact they said Vards had one (but doesn't), the guy didn't want to leave Caen they had to sell because of money reasons, NG is a quiet, introverted loyal guy by all accounts and long may he boss our midfield. Who's saying he wants to leave anyway?

Why leave the Premier League champions and a starting place in Champions League to most likely sit on a bench at a Man City and become forgotten. I wouldn't blame them for agreeing big new deals though. We should be offering a lot of these players a lot more money after this seasons heroic achievements. Can't let them start to feel undervalued if we want to keep this core of players together

If our owners are as ambitious as they claim, the right recruitment could set us up for years to come.
