ousefox Posted 23 February 2016 Posted 23 February 2016 Steve Smith is usually fantastic. It just seemed a bit of a pointless feature. The multi-cultural aspect was definitely overplayed IMO. Leicester's diversity is not even close to being replicated inside the ground although it is improving slightly.

Vardinio'sCat Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 Disappointing, he is a good reporter, but the whole multi-cultural thing needs careful handling/balancing, or else it seems a bit forced. Seemed a bit cheap and rushed, anyway, but I did chuckle at some of it. One thing is that Smith is not really a football journo, so they were always going to be looking for a wider angle to our amazing form, and clearly Richard and multiculturalism were the best they could manage.

It's nice to get such TV coverage, but seriously... I think they're really over-emphasising the 'unfashionable Leicester' angle. Leicester is an urban area of half a million people and has had a top flight football club for around 50 different seasons. After watching that you'd think it was Melton Mowbray who was top of the Premiership!
