glenelgfox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Someone on the match day thread bagged Albrighton but I thought overall he was good and it was his pass that got us the points!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Made bloody hard work of that, but fantastic result and hopefully a great boost for morale Schlupp really trying to make things happen when he came on and a fine debut for Amartey. Just need to hopefully work on a more effective plan B against the more stubborn teams. Get in!
lgfualol Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Phew. That was too close, we did not look ourselves. We'll need Ulloa on Tuesday against the mighty bus, so him scoring goals is good news. Thought Mahrez and Fuchs didn't have their best games but were still good. Morgan was solid. Drinkwater did what he could despite being mobbed every time and Vardy was starved of service. Amartey was great for his debut too, but I don't think RB is his place I don't think we saw anything close to how good he can be.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 59% possession in the end - so we clearly deserved to win (for all the Spurs fans looking in)
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Well the question was asked can we break teams down who play deep and until 5 mins from the end I would say we struggled. Fair play to Norwich but we did not play well today passing was woeful at times, we play poor and get a win will settle for that. Expect the same from Pulis' West brom 59% possession in the end - so we clearly deserved to win Not at all, Norwich were unlucky and actually played well
Tuna Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Stuff of champions, brilliant stuff. Was convinced we'd fuched up the whole thing. Hopefully it will give us a confidence boost ahead of WBA, I want that willy puller Pulis going home with a hiding.
4everfox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 A typical ground out win from a title challenger against a relegation candidate. I think there will be a few more of those this season.
sphericalfox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Happy to have nicked that. We looked a bit sleepy and were sloppy. Reminds me of the way we were playing after the last international break. I hope we can shake that off and get back to the sharpness we had previously. A win today should help the refocus.
richardsfoxes Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 This club, ranieri's reaction and bench's makes me
J.Lisemore Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 A win is a win, our boys dug it out. Credit goes to Norwich though, they defended better than expected.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 We didn't deserve that. Feel very sorry for Norwich who were well organised and wanted it more. Still on the positive side, Amartey was steady and did well in his first game and one moment of quality decided the game with the cross for Ulloa's goal. Showing championship potential by winning ugly and keeping a clean sheet......onto WBA! Don't feel too sorry for them - yes they came to a job, but football is a lot poorer when teams come with no real desire to win. The defence first situation was clearly drilled into the players so much that a lot of them forgot that they might be able to attack when they had clear possession.
FireFox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Someone on the match day thread bagged Albrighton but I thought overall he was good and it was his pass that got us the points! He's always better on the right. Plus with Ulloa to come on, you can't take him off - as proven.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Norwich sucked the life out the game, very negative and slowed it down right from the start. Expect this to happen more often. Second half we really went for it and we clearly wanted the win more. Delighted for Ulloa.
SmoginManila Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Well done guys! i was listening to my boro on the radio and watching you foxes on the box! happy happy happy! Of course we gonna kick your asses when we get promoted next season hahah! but please keep on ripping up the premiership and dream what you will do in Europe next year!! love it!
shailen Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 We cannot play well week in week out, but it's important to win when not playing well. We have just done that and I'm now here thinking we are going to do this. Today was probably the most important step and sign that we have everything to win this.
johnny the fox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 very impressed with schlupp today..looked like had never had a layoff..
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 We went all out attack with Ulloa and Schlupp and Albrighton playing as an attacking wing back worked we looked more dangerous, great tactical changes from Ranieri
Carl the Llama Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 We're actually doing it aren't we guys? We are staying up.
peterborofox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Didn't play well but got the points. Well done lads. Good subs by Claudio
catfordfox Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 What an enormous result. Cracking goal too - shout out to Albrighton, wasn't great all game but superb cross right at the end for Leo (finally a striker getting on the end of a cross, been desperate for that all game). Fair play Claudio too, doubted the subs at the time (though didnt realise Kante was injured) but he absolutely nailed it (again)
ARM1968 Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Never in doubt. Totally relaxed. Great result. Have to do it again. And then again.
Karljohn Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Shit myself after the goal, in shorts, sofa ruined. Well done Claudio. Stuff of champions.
Larry_LCFC Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 Cracking win but let's not let the goal disguise what was a pretty poor performance from us. Tempo and invention was lacking in our game today. Amarty hasn't convinced me he is BPL quality. Still early days but he was ball watching way too much and not getting stuck in. Expect Simpson to return. Onwards and upwards!
