SpinneyHillRanger Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 at least we got a bad performance out of the way and got the 3 points.... surely we can be more creative this time.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Would love to get out the traps against these lot but that comes with "the shackles are off" mentality and I just can't see Claudio allowing that early doors. I think we'll grow into games more or less between now and the end of the season. I know he said he'd rather lose than draw, but he won't want a heavy loss. More of the same for me. 2-1 Leicester to win the title.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Schmeichel SImpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Albrighton Vardy Ulloa Subs: Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Schlupp, Inler, Amartey, Okazaki, Gray
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 An hours drive, 22 quid tickets and still they haven't even sold 2000 from what I can tell. Pathetic. Would you bother to watch a Pulis side sit in their own box for 90 minutes?
KFS Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Schmeichel SImpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Albrighton Vardy Ulloa Subs: Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Schlupp, Inler, Amartey, Okazaki, Gray This is probably the one
Ricey Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Reckon Pullis will see Berahino as the key to do a successful Norwich. But I think Ranieri can tactically compensate by a chance in formation at some point. COYF! He said he won't change, but then again Alex Neil said Norwich would attack us and try to win the game. I suspect it will be a deep 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1. Having said that, the last two matches against them at the Hawthorns they played a stupidly high line which has cost them. I'm assuming, but hoping they haven't, learnt their lesson.
Loggy88 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 West Brom will come for a draw and clean sheet, but I think we will win 3-1. Jamie, Danny and Leo with the goals. Drinky that is
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Looking forward to the game tonight. 2-1/3-1 win us I reckon. Any win would be ideal to continue the momentum from Saturday. Ulloa, Vardy or Fuchs to score.
Benguin Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Kasper Fuchs Morgan Huth Schlupp King Drinky Amartey Albrighton Mahrez Vardy
shen Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Kasper Fuchs Morgan Huth Schlupp King Drinky Amartey Albrighton Mahrez Vardy No, that basically means we'd play six in midfield with Mahrez behind Vardy. The whole point of playing 3-5-2 is to have to out and out strikers on the pitch, so you HAVE to play Ulloa or Okazaki next to Vardy.
foxfanazer Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez DD Inler Gray Okazaki Vardy Ulloa is always better from the bench imo
RowlattsFox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 West Brom, Pulis in particular, have got a reputation of being experts at playing defensive and grinding out points but generally it doesn't work. Pulis had a woeful away record with Stoke and has similar with West Brom. Only occasionally do they fluke a 1-0 win away, like at Everton despite them having 50 shots but being unable to score. Fancy us to win relatively comfortably tonight.

erimus Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Morning chaps. Middlesbrough fan currently working in Nottingham here. First of all, what an amazing season you lot are having. Not just good value entertainment and a roller coaster of emotions, but a real inspiration to clubs like the Boro in terms of the model the club has implemented and the success it can have. I hope you get over the line in 11 games time. I'm tagging onto this thread as I think my membership is too new to start a post - hope you can help. It's a shot in the dark but I was looking for some friendly advice on the possibility of finding a ticket for tonight - I know the game is sold out and ticket resale sites are a fortune. As a football fan I'm desperate to witness what will end up being a historic season, but I don't want to encourage ticket touts to do so. I thought I'd reach out to proper fans to see what the best option might be - if anyone knows of a spare ticket going - and if not what the options might be to watch the game around the ground. Otherwise I'll end up going to watch County against the Daggers. Like I said, I know it's a shot in the dark, bur the opportunity was too good to potentially miss out on. Cheers UTB

Cheers UTB Thanks for the kind words. It's nice that clubs like Boro can look at us for inspiration. As for the ticket you'll probably struggle but well worth ringing the club. There were some VIP tickets yesterday going for £45
Hammered Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Middlesbrough fan currently working in Nottingham here. How's Downing doing these days?
shen Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez DD Inler Gray Okazaki Vardy Ulloa is always better from the bench imo You'd leave out Albrighton who got two assists against WBA earlier in the season to accomodate an inexperienced raw talent... ?!
erimus Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 How's Downing doing these days? Moments of real class - he's probably the best player in the division when he's on it - struggling as a result of not having the team built around him and being asked to play all 3 positions behind the striker. He'd be better as a 10 behind two strikers IMO. I think he'll still do it in the prem if we go up too.
foxfanazer Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 You'd leave out Albrighton who got two assists against WBA earlier in the season to accomodate an inexperienced raw talent... ?!I just feel he looked really off the pace on saturday and I've been impressed with Gray so far. I think we'll miss Kante's energy and pace so it'd be handy to have someone else with a bit quicker albeit in a different position.Got no problem if AlbAlbrighton starts though

Monsell1976 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Hope King can put a shift in, and not go missing, like he can do, he's got big boots to fill, with kante not playing.
Gerard Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Albrighton Okazaki Vardy This will be the team almost certainly. Why every time we lose a player do lots of people start messing with our formation? 4-4-2 has got us this far and we're incredibly mean at the back and have conceded 5 goals in the last 10 matches and 6 of those 10 matches were against the traditional big six sides. we don't need to panic and try and beat these sides by half time. Less than 10% of matches end in 0-0 so if we can keep clean sheets we'll win a lot more games than we draw. Keep our defence as tight as ever and we'll get opportunities. If it's 0-0 after 60 mins then we can consider 3-5-2 as 1pt is nothing when you're top of the league.
