lifted*fox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Whatever we do tonight we need to keep the ball on the floor and play it to feet. No point in hoofing up to Vardy / Shinji - their massive CB's will just hoof it straight back. Quick, tricky passing - nice little triangles will have them back-tracking and running scared. Please, let's play through these guys.
les-tah Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I'd be tempted to go 352 tonight with: Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinks Inler Amartey Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Bench: Schlump, Ulloa, Simpson, Was, Gray, King, Chills. Mahrez has never and will never be able to play wingback
wattolcfc Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I just hope some way, somehow, we get the three points. Points are all that matters from now until the last match. BLUE ARMYYYYY!

No keeper on the bench then? That's mighty adventurous Then again it is only Schwarzer...
americanfox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 No keeper on the bench then? That's mighty adventurous Then again it is only Schwarzer... Hey, as we saw against Arsenal, Wasyl has some hops.
possiblygeorge Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I have a feeling we might get a penalty tonight, don't know why.. just feeling it. We need to becareful on corners and free kicks with West Brom, thats always where they are most dangerous. I have no doubts about King tonight, he will be totally fine and yes Kante will be missed obviously, but King will play well and is fresh. Have a feeling this won't be an easy one as many think it will be. Need to be switched on from kick-off or we could be in for a surprise.
Timtmc Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Morning chaps. Middlesbrough fan currently working in Nottingham here. First of all, what an amazing season you lot are having. Not just good value entertainment and a roller coaster of emotions, but a real inspiration to clubs like the Boro in terms of the model the club has implemented and the success it can have. I hope you get over the line in 11 games time. I'm tagging onto this thread as I think my membership is too new to start a post - hope you can help. It's a shot in the dark but I was looking for some friendly advice on the possibility of finding a ticket for tonight - I know the game is sold out and ticket resale sites are a fortune. As a football fan I'm desperate to witness what will end up being a historic season, but I don't want to encourage ticket touts to do so. I thought I'd reach out to proper fans to see what the best option might be - if anyone knows of a spare ticket going - and if not what the options might be to watch the game around the ground. Otherwise I'll end up going to watch County against the Daggers. Like I said, I know it's a shot in the dark, bur the opportunity was too good to potentially miss out on. Cheers UTB Hi Erimus. I've PM'd you but don't know if you have checked. My son is unable to attend this evening as it's a school night. We have season tickets in J2 so can upgrade his ticket if you are interested.
dylanlegend Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I think Ulloa could be in line for a start following his heroics Saturday. Also, if WBA play defensively it might be our best chance to break them down using Albrighton - Ulloa. I think the team will be: Kapser Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Albrighton Drinkwater King Mahrez Vardy Ulloa Subs- Schwartz Wassa Amartey Inler Schlupp Gray Okazaki
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Hey, as we saw against Arsenal, Wasyl has some hops. That's not a bad idea - stick Was in goal and he can give his death stare to any attackers. Guaranteed no shots on target
Nick Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Mahrez has never and will never be able to play wingback He'll be fine. He's the new and improved tracking back Mahrez.
Will1981 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Schmeichel Simpson - Morgan - Huth - Fuchs Albrighton - Drinkwater - Schlupp Mahrez - Okazaki Vardy
Long Eaton Fox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Agree with Dylanlegend. Must have Ulloa for the aerial threat and as a reward for winning us the match v Norwich.
Captain... Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Agree with Dylanlegend. Must have Ulloa for the aerial threat and as a reward for winning us the match v Norwich. Nah, you don't fight fire with fire, you fight fire with water, our pace vs their back four, we should destroy them, let them lumber up for set-pieces, we will spring our trap. If it isn't working then bring on Ulloa and Schlupp, use our width and get balls in the box for Leo to attack.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Why are people even bothering to suggest anything other than 4-4-2

Yeah agreed, it won't be easy at all. If I was offered a awful boring 1-0 right now with them scoring a owl goal I would very happily take it. now with 10 games left we just need 3 points.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 The one main change I would suggest tonight... swap Mahrez and Albrighton's wings so they look to go on the outside with a view to stretching out how ever many defenders West Brom put in their back line. With King in the middle as well to provide through balls, this should give Vardy opportunities to make runs between the centre halves, even if they do sit deep.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Can't Kante just play through this injury him getting injured was my biggest fear in this title run... Anyway, I'd leave 3-5-2 as a back up if it's not going well by the 55th minute. But I would start with Kasper Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Albrighton Vardy Okazaki Bring Schlupp on at some point, he looked decent and better than he has done in the past. Would like to see Amartey in CM at some point as well.

I don't think we should be changing our usual formation and tactics to accommodate West Brom. Play our tried and tested formation and usual player positions and if it's not working after 60 mins then look to change. It would probably be the same as the last game with 3-4-1-2 with Albrighton on the right and Schlupp on the left to give us width and thus creating more space for Mahrez in the middle just behind Vardy and Ulloa. I'm very nervous about tonight without Kante so I'd appreciate if we can get an early goal. I think if we're going to win the league we'll need at least a 5pt gap going into the last three games. We have to be aiming to break the back of this league in our next 8 games so for me the next eight will all be virtually MUST WIN.
