Palace Pre Match

Too much to ask for a win here and some MK Dons-esque heroics from Max on Sunday?

Pards wasn't happy with the result in the reverse fixture and gave it the big-un about seeing what happens back at their place. So hopefully we control the game for 90 minutes and win 0-3. We're not playing the same way now as before, probably because opponents won't let us/fall for it but would love to see the attack working again with vardy and mahrez scoring goals.

yeah, said he wouldn't forget when we played there..I remember shatting my pants at the time....

So many nerves and lack of confidence. Yes we were poor yesterday and yes Ranieri was pumping the fans up which he shouldn't need to do. It's a strange place for us but you're lying to yourself that you'd be happy being 2 or 3 pts up after next weekend. That's BS....you'll be freaking about the following week.

This team has the ability even under the pressure on us right now to go into Palace and put on a great performance taking this game 1-3. That's what I'll be happy to see and will love watching Bournemouth turn Spurs over on Sunday.

....and those looking back to when we last beat Palace away.....think about it. What has history got to do with anything this season???

Massive game, to be 8 points clear by the time Spurs play could heap huge pressure on them against a very decent Bournemouth team... think they are 3rd or 4th in the form rankings since December.

Think I've just repeated a stat that might be a load of crap from twitter... oh well.

Saw that on Monday Night Football so might not be complete bollocks. Looking forward to potentially the last Saturday 3pm. Whilst I should be optimistic comparing the relative form, last seasons appaling effort there is nagging at me. Draw.

Forget history, we have been re-creating that every month.

Another tense Saturday for some.

Worse than all the relegation fights we've been through.

Pardew thinks hes found our weakness.

They are desperate for points

The players have Wembley abeckoning, but a good month away.

But, lets forget the nerves or scare mongering...

Our players are used to the grind, the fight, the doggedness needed.Bloody stubborn.

The King R. Wants again his crown.Hes happy with the PL crown, to share with his saviours.

We dont mind teams parking themselves, we have the best and famous attendant.

Literally puts his body on the line.

This is sit back and enjoy time, the toffs are chasing again the elusive fox.

Need a FEARLESS Banner on this site. Go there and get our banners back and take the 3 pts from them while you're at it :)

Despite their recent form, Palace are still a decent outfit as a side. Good counter attacking team, good in wide areas. We're similar to their style of play so this match has potential to be interesting. I said against Watford (a) it could be a close encounter, and I'm predicting this game could be the same. Hopefully we can achieve another 3pts.

Is anyone else starting to dread games. I'm not even sure if I can watch it! All I do now is worry about our next game. It's getting ridiculous lol.

First things first, can anybody recommend a pub showing Sky that lets in away fans.

I normally drink elsewhere in London before the Palace game, but this time will be in the area by 1245. I don't think Spoonies show Sky. Cheers for any suggestions.

If we're insisting on having 1 shot on target in games now then I will take a draw. Now Palace have their full complement of attacking players back and git they should probably look like a football team again.

At this time of the year form means nothing, that's why WE are still here after last seasons Great Escape.

Anybody can do anybody, more about mental strength and desire as a unit to achieve rather than 1st plays 15th.

On the plus side their players will be thinking about the FA Cup semi, no-one will want to get injured or carded, BUT............

they have some seriously foooking good players............. if they turn up on matchday.

Having said that form is no guide at this time of year, over the last 10 games the top-half of the table is:-

1. Leicester 23

2. Spurs      22

3. W.Ham    20

   Soton       20

   Chelsea   20

6.Man Utd  17

   L'Pool      17

   B'mouth   17

9. W.Brom   16

10Man City  15

and at the bottom :-

19= Norwich 2

       Palace   2

18   Newc     7

17= Watford 8

       Villa       8

15   Everton 12

13= Arsenal 13

       S'land   13

11= Stoke    14

       Swans  14

Feel like I'm in a Dead-zone on match-days but ever the pessimist I'll say we draw and so do the Spurs.

Manchester derby a point apiece and Arsenal and West Ham both lose.

Palace are put together like a Sunday league team:

Get the big bastards at the back defending and the rapid black lads up top.

Take out the word "black" and the same could be said for us.

Said it before, happy to repeat myself - this match is our defining moment, in my opinion.

It's a very important game for sure

The most important of the season so far

A win at Palace could indeed be Season defining and massive.

Palace are in a poor run of league form snd it would be great to capitalise on this!

In reality they are a much better side than this form, yet being away from home and Palace having to chase the points will in my opinion play into our hands.

Yes any result is feasible on Saturday yet I believe the season defining one will :) COYB

"If I'm honest I thought he was goading my players and goading me a little bit by doing that (not giving the ball back)," said Pardew.

"That was disappointing, and then he didn't shake my hand afterwards either, which I was also disappointed with.

"I waited for him afterwards and that's his decision but there are long memories in this game. He's got to come to our place yet and we won't forget that."

I'd love for us to do a smash & grab at their place. Sod holding it in the corners towards the end of the game, just give it to Claudio for the last few minutes.
