Callabinho Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 Pardew has lost the plot recently and seems to be running on emotion....we should use that against them, frustrate them as we did Newcastle and then slap them whilst they're down...
foxes161 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 We've got to win here. Previous records are irrelevant, see our pitiful records at West Ham, Norwich, Newcastle, Swansea, Everton and others prior to this season and we've won at all of those. There's a reason these haven't won since before Christmas. I don't think we'll roll them over, but I think we'll win the game. 0-2, Drinkwater & Mahrez. agreed, a win here and the title is in good shape. Palace are awful at home now.
SlaneyLCFC Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 I'd like to see Was come off the bench and power in a header from a corner, Making up for his foul against Arsenal
RowlattsFox Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 1-0 win from a late controversial penalty will do me, just to piss pardew and palace fans off further. Then everyone can continue with the 'luck' argument.
Pasty1 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 Pardew has been having session with a Psycologist recently.... Let's have him in a strait Jacket with a controversial goal in the 94 minute.... ;-)
yorkie1999 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 Game could go our way if they attack us, which teams seemed to have stopped doing recently.
Sunbury Fox Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 These are arguably the best set piece team in the Prem - so many tall players and majority of their goals from corners and free kicks. Think Dann has 7 Prem goals this season alone. So we must be on our mettle defending them. With our general lack of height this feels like a game where Kasper needs to show that he can command his area.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 Pardew has lost the plot recently and seems to be running on emotion....we should use that against them, frustrate them as we did Newcastle and then slap them whilst they're down... Of course he has, as soon as he'd been there over a year he started his textbook mental breakdown.
Bettsj2 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 We always lose at Upton Park too don't we? Actually, one of my best memories of following City away was when we hammered the Dons at Selhurst in semi-final the League Cup. We won by a sole Grayson goal. Not really a hammering.
cambridgefox Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 We won by a sole Grayson goal. Not really a hammering. incorrect 1-1 away goals. One of my best aways ever.Followed by one of my worst hangovers!
Bettsj2 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 incorrect 1-1 away goals. One of my best aways ever. Fair enough. It still wasnt a 'hammering' as previously stated. Back to the weekend, they are bound to win sooner or later and they looked pretty decent going forward in the cup (albeit against Reading). If their front 3 of Bolasie, Zaha and Adebayor are on it, their pace could cause us issues. It wouldnt suprise me if Ranieri sets up for a point. We dont really need to win this game. A draw is perfectly fine.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 I think this will be very tough. They are playing poorly and will see a draw against us as a result that stops the rot. I'm going for 0-0
Mikey Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 Reckon it'll be a right, scrappy game again here. I'm going 1-0 to us, Shinji to score again.
mancunianfox Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 3-1 Leicester but this is a classic trap game so hopefully we are well up for it.
Captain... Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 I understand those being nervous, and I understand those annoyed at us being nervous about facing a team in such awful form. It is fine to be cautious about this game, and all the remaining games, but we mustn't let that transmit to the pitch, in the stands it should be a massive party until the end of the season, this is awesome. If we want the players to take it one match at a time and not get hung up on the title chase then we should be the same. Crystal Palace are a decent side with players that can hurt us, but that is no different to any other team in the league, if we got out there relaxed and just play our game we will win, we go out there nervous and cautious we will let them and their fans get a foothold in the game and put us under pressure. We need to go out with a positive intent, none of this settling for a point crap. Put them under pressure, remind them why we are top, and make them question themselves and their awful league form. Do that and we will be fine, but it starts in the stands. Party time: :vardy:
mikael2 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 Sounds silly but it will be nice to get back on the road and not be clear cut favourites for a game. We looked very tense last night, the whole ground was the same. Palace try and attack teams, especially at home so I am hoping this will be a Man City/Swansea away type game where we absorb pressure and pick them off on the counter. And we like counter attacks. So where is the problem ?
Loggy88 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 I think a few nerves are expected now, we were a bit nervous against Newcastle but still won. That shows our strength of character. We can win at Palace, there's no reason why we can't.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 I've got a feeling we'll draw 1-1/0-0. Having said that, we've seen many times this season the character this team has and capability to win games sometimes by a very close margin. Watford (a/h) and Newcastle (h) are two prime examples. If we do manage to win this match it would be fantastic as it's important to continue the progression of our points tally at the top of the table.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 2-1 win i think, haven't won there for sometime have we?
UPinCarolina Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 I'm sick and tired, as I am sure the players are, of 1-0 or a draw. Let's go out and lay fvcking waste to them!
NewEnglandFox Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 Huth to open the scoring if Okazaki starts. Ulloa to open the scoring if he starts. The counterattack days are over unless we already have the lead.
Spudulike Posted 17 March 2016 Posted 17 March 2016 They'll hopefully recall the Villa game when it all looked like it was going to be easy. It wasn't. These are the games of which Champions are made. #Ruthless. ps. Wickham is injured
