Livid Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Feeling edgy about this one but I feel that way about them all at the minute. I'm hoping after their international call ups Drinkwater and Kante up their game tomorrow, if that's possible for Kante!
ChrisFilter Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 With Merson and Lawrenson predicting defeats, I feel pretty confident about this one. It feels like everyone's expecting us to stumble and that's when we're at our most dangerous. A 1-3 win.
David Hankey Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 I find it absolutely staggering that some so-called expert pundits are still expecting Leicester City to come unstuck. Take no notice of Merson and as for Lawro I don't think he's predicted one correct result for us so far this season. What a hapless bunch.
kingcarr21 Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 If we both won all our remaining fixtures up until the last game, we'd have won the title as we'd still be 5 points in front going into the game at Stamford Bridge..? He meant after we draw to Palace and they beat Bournemouth.
ARM1968 Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Long may it continue. Let them keep underestimating us, deriding us, discounting us. Just goes to show how much of a spanner in the works we really are. Amusing.
sly1 Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Don't know about this one tough game I reckon either way win
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 No doubt pardew will have some sort of game plan... I just think we will pull out a result in this one. Mahrez and vardy to score. Kante to swipe everything in midfield. DD to be English Pirlo And the defence to keep bolasie and Frazer quiet. Only worry for me is set piece defending
Ricey Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Pardew is normally fairly well prepared for us and tends to make things quite difficult. Having said that I can't see them parking the bus as much as teams have done at our place recently, so hopefully we'll have some space to exploit. Any other season and you'd be happy with a point, but not now.
Richmondfox Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 I feel confident for this one, Palace have been terrible since December. It's strange that the fans/pundits are saying that we will lose because of our last few games which we WON 1-0 but not looking at Palace's form of NO wins in the league since Dec 19th. I'm sure it will be a tight 1-2 but I would love to spank them. Pardew said in his conference that his team plays better when they have no pressure, that's a defeatist attitude and not something I brag about. His team are on the edge of the regulation scrap. ` Palace might have fast wingers but we rarely leave our back line in a position where they are exposed by pace. There is a misconception about Wes, he isn't slow and can play with the ball at feet as he's shown several times when he goes on an attack.

MC Prussian Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Here's a little write-up based on a short interview with a Leicester and Palace fan: http://www.vavel.com/en/football/premier-league/crystal-palace/620571-view-from-the-opposition-leicester-fans-opinion-as-palace-welcome-the-foxes.html
Foxxed Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Some suggesting Palace don't have the defence to concede possession like Newcastle, Watford, West Brom and Norwich and attempt to break quickly, and so they may use their pace against our defence. But assuming that entails keeping possession and trying to break us down, doesn't that put us back on plan A again? Will be an interesting match. I can't see a loss or draw if Mahrez and Drinky are on good form.

I can't see a loss or draw if Mahrez and Drinky are on good form. Palace have been one of the most negative teams I've seen this season and last. Zaha will cause us problems if he plays, he always seems to. Hopefully they bench him like they did at our place.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 I went to the Palace home game and they were very disappointing. We only won 1-0 by that great Vardy goal but they came into the game looking like they had no intension of winning it and never once tried to get their foot on the ball with the likes of Zaha and Puncheon and play. I expect it will be the same here.
Clever Fox Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 A lot will depend on which Palace turns up, They can be really good with strong direct and incisive running. I expect them to use Zaha with his kill and pace to try and attack the space between Fuchs and Huth. I wish Palace had a few more points on the board where the game wouldn't mean anything to them. think if we can win this one then we'll win the next few.
jammie82uk Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 it's stat time again Crystal Palace have taken just four points from the last 36 available in the Barclays Premier League (W0 D4 L8). Connor Wickham has scored four goals in his last two Premier League appearances. Andy King has scored in his last two league appearances against Palace. He has also scored on two of his last three visits to Selhurst Park with the Foxes. All four goals in this fixture since the two teams returned to the top flight have been scored between the 50th and 60th minutes. Leicester have lost just five of their last 41 Premier League matches (W25 D11 L5) but four of those have been against London clubs (Arsenal 2, Chelsea & Spurs). Claudio Ranieri's team have the best away record in the top flight picking up 31 points so far. The Eagles have lost their last five Premier League games at Selhurst Park and defeat to Leicester would equal their longest losing run at home in PL history (also did this in April 1998). Jamie Vardy needs one more goal to reach 20 league goals for the season. The last Leicester player to score 20 times in a top-flight season was Gary Lineker in 1984-85 (24 - no Leicester player has done it during the Premier League era). Crystal Palace are the only side in the top four tiers in England yet to win in 2016. Kasper Schmeichel has now kept 11 clean sheets this season in the Premier League; five more than he did in the whole of 2014/15 (6).
Benguin Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Going to be the best and biggest game of the season for me. Like 5-3 or 7-4 or something to us
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Going to be the best and biggest game of the season for me. Like 5-3 or 7-4 or something to us Come to think of it - for how good we've been this season we've not really had any silly high-scoring games (besides 4-2 against Sunderland season-opener). I think this too might be one of those games Going to say 6-3 to us, and that the scoreline will flatter Palace
coolhandfox Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Would take a draw, not the happiest of hunting grounds for us. If we win, I can see it being a scrappy 1-0. Hope Wickham is not playing as he likes scoring against us.

Schmeichel Denmark Leicester City With Cech out injured and Hart playing behind a Company-less defence, what odds Schmeichel keeping the most clean sheets this season?
jammie82uk Posted 18 March 2016 Posted 18 March 2016 Going to be the best and biggest game of the season for me. Like 5-3 or 7-4 or something to us Being selfish here but I hope not, hope it's a boring routine 1-0 win for us as it's the first game I'm not going to be able to watch this season
