Guest Col city fan Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Good luck Col Where was my invite? You're more than welcome to come mate. PM me if you want to. There's about 12 of us, all City fans on the piss. Gonna take in a club Fri night.
Fox Ulike Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Just wondering whether Schlupp for Albrighton would be a good move for the Palace game? I think Schlupp has added an extra dimension to our play when he’s come on in recent games…
st albans fox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Hopefully they'll be preoccupied with the fa cup semi final coming up.. Rest a few Pardew!.. You know it makes sense. The semi final in 5 weeks time ? They could almost break a leg and be back for it!

Babylon Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 The semi final in 5 weeks time ? They could almost break a leg and be back for it! They do often seem to impact on a teams mentality though. Stoke were pretty terrible either side of their semi final for some time, I seem to remember a few other teams down the years losing focus a bit when they got to a semi final / final. Might make a difference, might not... who knows.
Bettsj2 Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 We'll lose this. We always lose there. Last season we went there on the back of arguably our greatest top flight performance and confidence should have been at an all time high. Played shit and lost 2-0. Can see the same happening.
Monsell1976 Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Never seem to do well at selhurst, but we have done well at grounds this season, that we don't usually, so here's hoping. Don't know about the players being relaxed, I'm nervous before every game now. The pressure the players handled last year, has to have been far worse than this years.
Ashley Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 The arrogance on their forum is outstanding. http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=159093 I really hope we beat them and shut their 50 black hoodied mongies up in that corner who try to play ultras
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 The arrogance on their forum is outstanding. http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=159093 I really hope we beat them and shut their 50 black hoodied mongies up in that corner who try to play ultras Almost every post has them down to win. They've got nothing to lose and nothing to play for I guess. I genuinely don't remember the last time our season was over in March?
act smiley Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 The arrogance on their forum is outstanding. http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=159093 I really hope we beat them and shut their 50 black hoodied mongies up in that corner who try to play ultras Eh, doesn't seem like arrogance. It seems like absurd levels of optimism.
Footballwipe Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 The arrogance on their forum is outstanding. http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=159093 I really hope we beat them and shut their 50 black hoodied mongies up in that corner who try to play ultras It is wonderful confidence, you have to admire them for their optimism in the face of such a terrible run. Anyone else manage to get a couple on their 'opposition comments bingo' with the "lucky with injuries" comment? Also loved the fact that it's 20 years since we beat them "that's motivation enough for us" as if it's the same starting XI and it's the first time we've played them in that time. I think it'll be a much harder game than we're imagining but I'd be very disappointed to lose to a Palace team on such a bad run. A spawny 1-0 win would be great, just to see the reaction of the Palace and Spurs fans
HighPeakFox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 We'll lose this. We always lose there. Last season we went there on the back of arguably our greatest top flight performance and confidence should have been at an all time high. Played shit and lost 2-0. Can see the same happening. Have to say that loss was entirely predictable. Nothing is quite the same now.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Come on Leicester 3 days to go, let's get up for this one Up the Foxes
whetstonefox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 To be fair there was nothing to outlandish on there, roles reversed I'm sure we'd have similar views.
weller54 Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 We'll lose this. We always lose there. Last season we went there on the back of arguably our greatest top flight performance and confidence should have been at an all time high. Played shit and lost 2-0. Can see the same happening. O what joy...
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 To be fair there was nothing to outlandish on there, roles reversed I'm sure we'd have similar views. In fairness they have every right to be confident from their perspective I guess. We will just have to do our best to prove them wrong if we can
HighPeakFox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 I don't think it matters one iota what they think
Gerard Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Massive game but aren't they all? A possibly season defining weekend when our lead could be somewhere between 2-8pts by the end of it. My one hope is that Tottenham drop points before we do but I'd be happy if we took the same points as Tottenham this weekend win, lose or draw.
st albans fox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 My one hope is that Tottenham drop points before we do but I'd be happy if we took the same points as Tottenham this weekend win, lose or draw. Seeing as we play the day before, that's going to be difficult
Gerard Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Seeing as we play the day before, that's going to be difficult It won't be difficult if we beat Palace. Ball's in you court Tottenham.
SpacedX Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 We'll lose this. We always lose there. Last season we went there on the back of arguably our greatest top flight performance and confidence should have been at an all time high. Played shit and lost 2-0. Can see the same happening. We always lose at Upton Park too don't we? Actually, one of my best memories of following City away was when we hammered the Dons at Selhurst in semi-final the League Cup.
Captain... Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 We always lose at Upton Park too don't we? Actually, one of my best memories of following City away was when we hammered the Dons at Selhurst in semi-final the League Cup. You mean when we hammered them 1-1?
biggs Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 We will win with confidence. 1-3 Palace are crap and have picked up 2 pts out of the last 30 To all the mediocrity striving low confidence posters, Is your pessimism due to an inability to grasp the reality of our performances for a year now? You must be worrying yourselves silly as we have 8 games to go......good luck to you all We deserve to be where we are because we have played at a high level all year. The energy from this team is tremendous.....the doom and gloom some of your foresee IMO disrespects what the team has given you all year. What more can they do to get your confidence in them to take this through to the end?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Just looked at premier league injury table and looks as though Chamakh, Cabaye, Wickham and McArthur will all be missing Saturday. Bargain if true
