I get an immense feeling of pride and sometimes goosebumps but I don't think I could every cry at a game of football.

 

Relegation to League 1? Come on mate, every Leicester fan I know had at least a tear in their eye after that.

Never understood the tear brigade. Lump in the throat, happy or sad feelings.

Being down a couple of days. Feeling eurphoric for a a while in the next season ,

if title is won, ok I understand but its not your own achievement.

If players or management have high emotion that I understand, its their careers

in an emotional setting.

Now me, I will sit in my armchair with a bottle of bubbly,

for weeks with a wry smile spread across my face,

with my wife telling kids and neighbours....he died so happily and content,

I didnt want to move him..

Totally disagree. We follow the team through thick and thin, many supporting for a large number of years. Yes the players do the work on the pitch but any supporter who does not have a tear (should we win it) must be slightly strange!

I'm glad I'm not as emotionally detached from it as you. Surely thats the whole point

Cried like a baby when Vardy broke the scoring record. Had a little cry today after his second. Don't care, love it!

Nothing wrong with getting emotional but there does feel like an online "cry one-upmanship"

 

It seems after every game now people are desperate to declare they are in "floods of tears" "crying like a baby" "getting teary" at the whole thing. I mean, you could be emotional and not have to broadcast it to everyone?

 

If it carries on it'll be like the Four Yorkshiremen sketch at the end of the season on who can have the most emotional reaction.

I had a tear in my eye when Vardy scored the 2nd.

 

My 9 year old daughter was holding her little brother and saying to him 'I think I need to hold daddy as he is now the baby in the house'

 

Not ashamed in the slightest. I will cry my heart out if we win the league.

I haven't cried but I was totally devastated after Deeney day, Kermogant, Roy Essandoh, relegation to league 1, losing to Arsenal in the last minute a few weeks ago (although hopefully that one won't matter now)

And losing to spurs in the league cup final

.... who has sobbed at/watching a game now, saw a few watery eyes today after the game!

I'm not an emotional person, but when I turned to my 13 year old son, at Sunderland, and said to him, remember this and enjoy it, as it may never happen again.

I had to hold some sort of emotion back, it wasn't tears, as I don't do tears

I never cry at football, but I admit I did have tears in my eyes after we beat Newcastle 1-0 at home. 

 

Of all the games to cry at lol I was just relieved.

 

I think you guys are nuts but maybe, just maybe, during the MOTD end of season montage, I might well up at the (potential) sight of Wes lifting the trophy.

I will be so emotional, I can't even imagine how I will be when I see Wes lift our prem trophy, I think I will faint. I was crying so much when he lifted our championship trophy, I can't imagine what it will be like this time with it being the prem trophy. I want to record the whole thing on my video camera, but I think I will be shaking too much to hold it properly
