That being said if we can score, and keep it to within two goals (preferably one), I fancy us to beat anyone at the KP on our day. I feared that in Sevilla. I was predicting a 3-1 result at best with someone to play for in the second leg. It costs nothing to dream, it's when you throw hope in there too that's when it hurts.
FoxinNotts Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 This tie has all the makings of a complete shoot-out! AAattack (on the counter) someones got to have the ball at some stage

Let's see how they like having 70% possession..
Blue ROI Posted 4 April 2017 Posted 4 April 2017 Atletico Madrid won 1-0 against Real Sociedad tonight. Filipe Luis with the goal. Griezmann replaced after 72 minutes.
Hammo Posted 8 April 2017 Posted 8 April 2017 Griezmann late equaliser as Atletico draw 1-1 at La Liga leaders Real Madrid. This is one good team - several notches above Sevilla. Going to be backs to the wall on Wednesday.

Very solid at the back, one of their defenders cleared off the line from Ronaldo by throwing his body on the line. Griezman is quality obviously, good solid side. Didn't seem that quick on the counter they seem to build in waves. It's going to be a really interesting fixture as like us they are not a possession based side really. Goes without saying an away goal would be massive.

We seem to be very, very similar sides. They've turned Barca and Real's possession tactics against them, as we did with the same philosophy in the premier league.

With them being at home I'm guessing they will try and take it to us 1st.
Finnegan Posted 8 April 2017 Author Posted 8 April 2017 Tell you what, if they played like this we'd kill this Barça side.

Wymsey Posted 8 April 2017 Posted 8 April 2017 Honestly think we'll win this competition. ©Wymeswold fox 08/04/2017 Especially after last season, the run under Shakespeare currently and after what happened to the club legend in Alan Birchenall, hence there's a lot of fire in the belly for it.

STUHILL Posted 8 April 2017 Posted 8 April 2017 Malaga beating Barce 2-0 just shows what is possible on any given day!

Sure some book writer is patiently waiting for these to happen to make their book interesting and referred to for non-stop memories when these are achieved.
