I don't know how other people feel, but with teams like athletico, and indeed anyone in the last 8 of the CL frankly, I always fear that there is the danger of them beating us by 3, 4 or worse and the tie being over in the first leg.

That being said if we can score, and keep it to within two goals (preferably one), I fancy us to beat anyone at the KP on our day.

I feared that in Sevilla. I was predicting a 3-1 result at best with someone to play for in the second leg.

It costs nothing to dream, it's when you throw hope in there too that's when it hurts.

This tie has all the makings of a complete shoot-out! AAattack (on the counter)

someones got to have the ball at some stage

We've averaged about 35% possession in our CL games so far, while Atleti has managed an average of around 50%, surprisingly. Let's see how they like having 70% possession..

Griezmann late equaliser as Atletico draw 1-1 at La Liga leaders Real Madrid.

This is one good team - several notches above Sevilla. Going to be backs to the wall on Wednesday.

Not that I'm aware of, though Gameiro didn't play. Otherwise they were at full strength.

No didn't look to be any. Tough game for them though. Thought they looked as expected really. Very solid at the back, one of their defenders cleared off the line from Ronaldo by throwing his body on the line. Griezman is quality obviously, good solid side. Didn't seem that quick on the counter they seem to build in waves.

It's going to be a really interesting fixture as like us they are not a possession based side really. Goes without saying an away goal would be massive.

It makes me wonder how it'll start, with neither team being possession orientated. Cagey? Neither wanting to commit too much forwards? We seem to be very, very similar sides. They've turned Barca and Real's possession tactics against them, as we did with the same philosophy in the premier league.

Exactly. like 2 boxers waiting for the other to throw the 1st punch. With them being at home I'm guessing they will try and take it to us 1st.

Tell you what, if they played like this we'd kill this Barça side.

Complete contrast to last week against Sevilla. They were scary good then.

Honestly think we'll win this competition.

Especially after last season, the run under Shakespeare currently and after what happened to the club legend in Alan Birchenall, hence there's a lot of fire in the belly for it.

Like the look of that Malaga's CB.

The lad they've just brought on, on loan from Watford, looks a find as well.

Lets win this fvcka!!

Certainly, then the last target is win the FA Cup and football will be complete here imo.

Sure some book writer is patiently waiting for these to happen to make their book interesting and referred to for non-stop memories when these are achieved.

Borussia Dortmund - AS Monaco

Bayern München - Real Madrid

Juventus - FC Barcelona
