Leicester City v West Ham match thread

Mahrez really battling today isn't he?

His pass for Kante for the goal was stunning.

This.  I had exactly the same thought when that pass to Kante went through.

Watch Vardy drop back sometimes and provide extra defensive cover. We attack as a team and defend as a team. Everyone works their bolluxs off.

Rejoicing the scoreline, but not so much what's happened after we've taken the lead. It's all a bit flat again in terms of flow and attacking intent, reminiscent of Sunderland away in the first half.

Emenike is having a mare against Morgan and Huth. Can't work out why they didn't start with Carroll if they're going to play this way...

Give West Ham some credit for that I'd say. They've surprised me with their own effort and work rate.

theyr'e a good side really...would like to see them get something out of this season - just as long as they go home pointless today

There isn't a single player in this team I don't rate very very highly. We are the best team in the league. We aren't winning this because the league is poor, we are winning it because we are effing fantastic.

So lucky with that early chance for them. Typical Vardy goal, blasted in from a tight angle.

So, are we saying West Ham are doing a good job on Mahrez again or is he blowing hot and cold once more?

I've seen one or two good skills with the ball on the halfway line and of course the pass on the counter to Kanté that led to Vardy's goal. Other than that, he has been rather quiet so far.

Opinions, please...

On a sidenote, I think our defending has been outstanding in the first half (Morgan and Huth on Emenike in particular, Fuchs on Antonio, Simpson on Payet) and all players are tracking back as much as they can.

As soon as he got into that angle I knew we'd be celebrating. Another great goal

Great first half lads, more of the same in the second.

One picky thing though, Drinky's passing has been abysmal at times, he single-handedly killed three very promising attack builds up.  Needs to do better next 45'.
