Wymsey Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 You probably didn't notice who you quoted. Thread was merged after my initial post, so didn't know Bert mentioned it.
filbertway Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Ahh fair play my man. Wouldn't surprise me if we have a mini airport at the Stadium within the next 10 seasons. These owners are building something special here.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Is that the marquee looking structure on the south east corner?
promised land Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Ahh fair play my man. Wouldn't surprise me if we have a mini airport at the Stadium within the next 10 seasons. These owners are building something special here. Ive heard they're planning to put a giant 'H' in the centre circle.
Fosse93 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Will they serve alcohol in the fans village? Might pop down if so!
WinslowFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Don't suppose anyone knows if there will be big screens outside the KP showing the game?Another gold member who missed out on this game, totally gutted but coming to the City for the day and night
Heymister2015 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 What's the plan for the fan village eventually? I'm just guessing a few pitched tents on a brownfield site isn't the final plan! Nothing on the planning site yet! Fingers crossed its hotels! Bars! Restaurants! Apartments! One idea that's taking the piss would be for kingpower to buy the haymarket, flatten it and build a kingpower complex. Wonder if the haymarket being demolished is 5000/1?

Dennis118555 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 From when I drove by about an hour ago... Is this the land near the roundabout near where the chap has a stall selling scarves?

Cheerleaders, facepainters and a gospel choir will all be in attendance to add to the atmosphere, while food and refreshments will also be served from a variety of vendors. Toilet facilities will also be provided. WHERE IS IT? The Family Fanzone is located on the land behind the East Stand at King Power Stadium WHAT TIME? Entry is from 12.30pm on Saturday. Houdini Logic Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Is this the land near the roundabout near where the chap has a stall selling scarves? That's the one - by where the fanzine is sold
AndWhat? Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 They had to stick the word 'family' in there somewhere didn't they.
DB11 Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 So it's not really a fan's village if only ticket holders can go
PlasticFantastic Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 So it's not really a fan's village if only ticket holders can go I suspect they need a way to control numbers, as there is the potential that it might get overwhelmed.
leicesterseddon Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 They had to stick the word 'family' in there somewhere didn't they. Inevitable. Although if it makes it feel less cringey, Liverpool have a very similar thing: http://www.liverpoolfc.com/travel/first-time-to-anfield/matchday-family-fun
red5 Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 So it's not really a fan's village if only ticket holders can go yeh you're not a real fan if you've not got a ticket
jockkkk Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I'm gutted that it's a ticket holder only thing. My family and I are coming down for the weekend and really want to go to somewhere where we can watch the match. I really hope that big screens will be available. Also, let's be honest....I'd love a packet of those crisps! I'm a sucker for a gimic.
sheffield_fox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Shame, I would have liked to have gone to this. Surely it makes more sense to let the ticketless people into the fan village and the ticket holders into the stadium?
