Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Remember when Mattock left for bigger and better things? There's only one option that makes sense Ben. Haha great comparison, what a twat that bloke was. And to think I got his name printed on my Topps Tiles shirt
Sharpe's Fox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Ask them if they want him on loan just to rub it in.
Mainlander Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Hate it when academy players who are breaking in to the first team move on. Have only seen highlights of the under 21's and the cup games but he appears to be a real talent. Hope he stays.
ramadaone Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 It's pretty simple in that the other two have offered him more money than we have so his Agent is obviously advising him to move because he is only interested in the money side of things If Chilly can see the bigger long term picture he would stay but can't see it at the moment
Nick Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 He's been making the wrong noises for a while now. When he was on loan he was saying that the club he was at was playing possession football which is his best suited game..... That's saying to me that he doesn't want to play here and he wants Liverpool to come get him.

Nick Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Well the rumoured interest has been from Liverpool but that's not the point. He's saying a different style of football suits him better than the style played at his current club. I think you only talk to the media in that way if you are touting yourself.

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Sick of all the gossip. I'd take a big offer with plenty of add-ons for England appearances etc. To me he doesn't seem particularly keen to stay and his advisors seem to be touting him around so cash in and get another LB to cover Fuchs
lifted*fox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 If you don't want to be here then off you pop Chilwell, your loss.
Nick Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Well it is the point if he's touting himself to Liverpool. You should change your username to Facepalm.
Jimothy Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 You should change your username to Facepalm. You should change yours to "I'm not going to argue your point just insult you because I have no counter argument" It's a bit wordy, but it works.
dylanlegend Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 If he doesn't want to be here fair enough, he could have been the successor to Fuchs but Fuchs will be solid for the next 2 years. He'll end up like Joe Mattock
Nick Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 You should change yours to "I'm not going to argue your point just insult you because I have no counter argument" It's a bit wordy, but it works. I already explained my point and what I meant in that it didn't matter if it was Liverpool or whoever. You then came back in being pedantic.
Jimothy Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I already explained my point and what I meant in that it didn't matter if it was Liverpool or whoever. You then came back in being pedantic. I'm not being pedantic If the only club with solid interest is Liverpool, who play a similar style, he's hardly pimping himself out to them by saying what he said. If he's intelligent enough to recognise we don't play exactly as he'd like, but he's still managed to garner this much recognition whilst playing here, he should realise if the only club interested come in it won't be worth him going, because it's a sideways step at least, to a similar styled team. So if by saying what he said he's touting himself to Liverpool, like you said, he's making a big mistake, I mean it hardly a step up. And if he's touting himself to more suitable team, like Arsenal, Man City etc, then he needs to do more because he's not peaked their interest much yet.

Gerard Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I think Ranieri will try and develop us into a more passing side that is comfortable on the ball. Possibly by getting full backs and a No 10 who are better equipped to a passing game. With only the 30 year old Fuchs ahead of him he should seriously think that his best option maybe to stay at Leicester. After all he could go to a Liverpool or an Arsenal and a month later they may well buy a £20m 24 year old left back that he has to get ahead of.
st albans fox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Clearly we should link a PL winners medal to him signing a new contract. If he doesn't sign, he may not ever get one elsewhere!
Hack Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Sick of all the gossip. I'd take a big offer with plenty of add-ons for England appearances etc. To me he doesn't seem particularly keen to stay and his advisors seem to be touting him around so cash in and get another LB to cover Fuchs I think the issue was at the beginning of the season he was back up to Jeff playing at LB and probably thought he would get more of a chance during the season. Then after about 10 games Fuchs gets the chance to start and the rest is history. He is one of the best left backs in the game right now. He is still young enouh to have 4/5 or even years at this level. Chilwell is going to have to play backup L to Fuchs for a long time. That i think is the real issue. Unless Christian gets a significant injury Chilwell is going to warm the bench. Then again his role at a Liverpool or Arsenal is going to be the same as they both have established LB's.
WiFoxes Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I've seen in a lot of places that Fuchs wants to go to the United States once his contract is up (2 more years). His family just bought a townhouse in New York, there was a story posted to the main board about it.

Christian is not going to extend his contract as posted. Ben will get decent game time next season.
Ric Flair Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I'd piss if the only MLS clubs that wanted Fuchs were further away flight time than it is from the UK to NYC. The man should stay for life.
les-tah Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 No he isn't. Christian is not going to extend his contract as posted. Ben will get decent game time next season. Fuchs is not going to be able to play each and every game next season. Can see Chilwell playing about 10-15 (which includes all league and fa cup and a fair few league games, and thats if fuchs stays injury free.
