Up the City.... No chance- defence won't be changed immediately. If it is - I think some players would be rightly pi*sed off.
davieG Posted 25 July 2016 Posted 25 July 2016 I'd be very disappointed if he left especially if it was us not him pushing for it.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 July 2016 Posted 25 July 2016 Set to stay by all accounts. Thought Pool would pursue further with Bournemouth buying their LB Smith
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 July 2016 Posted 25 July 2016 He won't start this season. Fuchs will remain first choice left back. But we need to keep Chilwell. He looks to have a bright future ahead of him. He reminds me a little of Cresswell (Aaron, not Richard)
The Railway Man Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 He looked good at times, bit iffy defensively but like his composure on the ball. Should ready to fill in Fuchs boots in a few years.

katieakita Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Gordan Banks could not keep Peter Shilton out the team and looking at CR's career he has not got a problem promoting youth. Ben Chilwell is clearly a very hot prospect and should feature much more this season. He still needs to learn his trade and being a 1st team squad member will be playing and training at a much higher level than the U21's. Also highlights the clubs dilemma with wages and contracts. Plenty on here saying his current contract is shocking and we need to show ambition then moaning when we offer a figure they think is too high. Very fine margins lower the wages and he probably gets a lower release clause, higher wages and he gets a higher release clause and depending on his and our season his value could be anywhere between 10 and 30 million at the end of the season.

foxfanazer Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Hope he stays. His composure on the ball is really impressive for a lad of his age. Could maybe do with bulking up a bit
Out Foxed Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 fuchs was crap in the Euro's so there's no guarantee he'll start the season at LB. He was playing for a team that's nowhere near as good as us though.

foxy boxing Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 Brilliant if he has signed a new long term deal with us, he is a young highly rated defender with bags of potential who will become one of the premier leagues best left backs who was much sought after by other top clubs
ALC Fox Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 This is a real statement of intent on a par with Vardy staying, I think. For our best striker and the current best young player on our books to both stay with us instead of completing moves to the big boys is fantastic. This guy could be our left back for years, at the very top level as well. Great news.
