First team at the start of the season if he carry on like this in preseason? very good player would have pushed him onto the wing second half and put Fuchs at lb though as Chilwell gets in some great attacking positions.

Best player on the pitch yesterday for me, Mahrez had the best moments but in terms of overall performance - chillwell

If he gets the right experience this guy can be a Premier League full back no problem. His defensive side needs a bit of work but he looks so good on the ball for his age.

Totally agree with that.  Those two stood out (but I was also very impressed with Zieler while he was on - he looked much more reliable than Kasper).  If we can keep Chilwell, it would be a big coup.

last night confirmed we have a class act , at left back.

Chilwell and Fuchs have that positioned nailed now.

Also gives Claudio some flexability, if he fancies using one of them in midfield towards

the end of a game. With Schlupp, Albrighton and Gray, we have the left side tied down

defence and attack.

If there is it'll be at the insistence of his agent, set as low as he can getting away with. It won't be the club's choice.

Agree with need to keep comments, lot of evidence in his favour now and he will get far more minutes this year.

I'm not bitter towards Chilwell, I just think it's potentially damaging to people his age to give him a wage like that before he's even done anything. If I'm Leicester though, I'd pay it, because if we don't, someone else does and Chilwell ends up with that money anyway and we end up without him.

 

Chilwell held the cards. That's just how it is. I don't agree with it but there's not a lot you can do.

I've not seen enough of hernandez. He looked great on the ball but his defence was nowhere near the standard of Huth.

Don't agree with those who say he looked lightweight when defending. Thought he was class going forward and backwards.

 

 

He never got 'caught out', an attacking full back is always going to get exploited when going forward if we lose the ball, it is the job of the others to plug the gap.

 

 

As others have said, impressed with Hernandez and Zieler. Both good on the ball, and both have done their jobs in the minutes played thus far. Look bargains for the outlay.
