The 5 players who came out initially...

Any idea how these were chosen?

Benny, Schwarzer, James, Marcin and Chilwell came out initially but were not given medals. Ok, fair enough.

But why wasn't Liam Moore included and Dodoo? Dodoo has actually played for us in the PL this season - James and Chilwell have not....

moore, dodoo not needed?

james is mates with our key players so we dont want to piss them off by snubbing him?

give chillwell a medal to deter him from joining someone else?

For me, the idea that you have to play a certain amount of games to get a medal is a bit shit

If you're a Leicester City first team squad player then you get a medal.

Chilwell and Schwarzer have been on the bench most weeks this season. Benny and Was have almost played enough games for a medal. James is an important part of the squad who's missed the season because he's been unfortunate to have an injury, not because he's been deemed not good enough, he also played a major role in keeping us in the premier league last season.

That's why I think those 5 were sent up.

All the more odd that Was didn't get a medal then

If he plays next week, likely with Huth out, he'll have 4 appearances, only one off the 5 needed, so it's harsh they didn't get him one.

Supposedly this rule doesn't exist anymore.

It's at the clubs discretion who receives medal out of the amount they are given to hand out

One thing the Yanks do correct is they give a ring or a medal to all team members, even those who haven't played. They are right. If you are part of the team you should be getting something! Who knows what contribution they have given without playing? The Prem has barbaric standards! Cheap bastards!

If it's the team, it's even worse!

Leicester have the discretion to give medals to everyone. If they don't yet can give 32K mercs to players who can buy them using a week's wages that would be poor.

Football is a squad game and all the coaches and specialists deserve medals too.

It does and it doesn't. Players with 5 games under their belt will automatically receive a medal, those with less can be requested one by the club. Last season Mourinho made sure every squad player got one, even Schwarzer.

Arlo white shared on the live broadcast over here that the club get given 40 medals, 19 were given automatically for the 5+ appearances the rest are given at the clubs discretion..

The players kids were parading with medals around their necks, so I suspect that everone will have a medal, but not presented on the pitch...at least I hope so.

I noticed that. Mahrez's family all had medals.

I agree, they could've played one game and scored a crucial goal so clearly played a part. Everyone who played deserved a medal.

Yeah it should be one game to earn a medal. Everyone plays their part.

A few years back Macheda scored a crucial winner against Villa for Man Utd but barely played again and wouldn't have got a medal had they not insisted on it, but they wouldn't have won the title without that goal.

I think what probably happened was they only had enough medals with them to dish out to the players that got one. Got no doubt whatsoever those players that stepped out first will end up with one too.

They probably only bring the bare minimum amount of medals to the actual presentation

They should just hand them out to anyone who has played or either been on the bench at some point.

Who really care who gets one and it's mostly in your own head anyway.

Vardy will be more proud of his medal than say Matty James just because of their perceived contributions to the cause this season.

Are you sure? They all had a Barclays lanyard on but it didn't have a medal on it it was a pitch side pass

Wasyl just put a video on Instagram of him with his daughter (?) on the field after the Everton match, and she is wearing a medal.

I think that should be case closed?

I favour a medal for any squad member who played. No matter how much or how little they play they have contributed to the outcome and been part of the team effort. If you don't play I fail to see how you can be deemed a member of a Premiership Championship winning team. The squad, yes, but not the team.
