Clever Fox Posted 7 March 2017 Posted 7 March 2017 I seen him play in the Championship 2 years ago and thought we should have signed him before he went to Hull. He's very good with the Ball at his feet as well as his defensive qualities. Get him in.

the fox Posted 7 March 2017 Posted 7 March 2017 Am I the only one that thinks kantè is becoming a little overrated?. I know he is good and all and he is in the top 5 defending mids in the world but come on. Now people are starting to call him "a top 10 midfielder in Europe" and such. He is a great player no doubt but he is far from the finished product. Give me radja nainggolan any day of the week.

Soar Fox Posted 7 March 2017 Posted 7 March 2017 Pretty sure we were linked with Harry Maguire when Pearson was here. Maguire was at Sheffield United at the time.

Nainngoal has only really hit this level recently. he's a few years older than Kante
Koke Posted 8 March 2017 Posted 8 March 2017 Our defence have been hammered by both our fans and the media alike, and rightfully so. So I had a look at how many goals we have shipped in. We have shipped in 45. The following teams have conceded more than us. Sunderland Hull Watford Bournemouth Palace Swansea West Ham Middlesbrough have only conceded 30 goals, which is amazingly less than Liverpool (34).

At present, Kante could realistically feature in any club side in the world imo.

Kanté's 25 years old and just about to hit his peak. He'll have at least another five splendid seasons. He deserves all the praise he gets, there's only a handful of (defensive) midfielders who are as effective and omnipresent as he is on the pitch. I think his style is unique.

I'd say he's more box to box?

I think his style is unique. I have No doubt about the quality of kantè but he has some downsides that gonna be hard to fix, for me, kantè potential is not high. His is a great midfield destroyer and he is one of a kind, but like they say in basket ball "you can't teach height" and you can't really make his passing much better (yes, his short passing is good but he sometimes get detracted). Kantè can be nullified if he is going against a good midfield "wanyama and dembele give him the work " Kantè is one in a million but, he has flows that will be exposed with time.

Conceding goals was our biggest problem at the start of the season. However, negative play and our alarming lack of goals and chances became a far bigger issue in the end- we were conceding 1 or 2 and teams were barely having to defend their leads.

I am with you on that. He can easily play instead of casemiro in real Madrid but there are players how are close to him defensively and a lot better offensively like radja and Vidal.
Tuna Posted 8 March 2017 Posted 8 March 2017 If Kante could score goals, he'd be the best player in the world.
the fox Posted 8 March 2017 Posted 8 March 2017 They say stats don't lie. So, here is some stats from some world class players (plus dembele if you don't think he is world class) 20 deferent stats and kantè doesn't even lead in any one of them (yes, even tackles and intersection) Just look at kantè vs Vidal, just pure domination from Vidal's side

Livid Posted 8 March 2017 Posted 8 March 2017 How have the FA got the go ahead to put the Man City game on tonight? I thought UEFA had this no major domestic football when the CL was on.
