STUHILL Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 Looks like Mourinho has found his new player to bully in Shaw, now that Schweinsteiger has gone. If it isn't a female doctor, then it's a player that he has to go after publicly. I really can't stand the man these days!

Despite spending trillions of pounds, they haven't moved on much from last year. He's full of blame, excuses, anger and hostility. He will do the same this summer...spend massive. It'll be interesting to see if they improve much. The players just don't look very happy. And they don't have a goal scorer if Ibra is injured.

He is just such a negative manager, in his style of play, the way he criticises and treats certain players and his constant bashing of other teams and the media, as well as constantly going on about some conspiracy against Man U. I think in his first spell at Chelsea, players really enjoyed playing for him, but I just don't see that these days and I just can't see him getting back that aura he once had. Spent force indeed! I'm chuffed that we have yet another classy gentlemen managing us and not some intolerable oaf like that!

From an affable, jolly chap, bezzie mates with the Chelsea players etc...to the serious fella we see now. Strange. It'll be interesting to see whether he does turn them round or not.
Nick Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 His second bout of criticism of Shaw last night wasn't motivational it was bitter, unprofessional and will impact on the career of the player. Its especially ooor as just about every commentator remarked that the side was full of round pegs in square holes and the players looked lost as to what their roles were.
justfoxes Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 You got to laugh at Pochetino dishing out the excuses how Leicester's run in was easy for us last year before his bunch of bottles start to get stage fright again and drop points? sour grapes jealousy call it what you like but it makes him sound a right prat !! http://www.espnfc.co.uk/english-premier-league/story/3096033/leicester-given-unfair-scheduling-advantage-over-tottenham-last-season-mauricio-pochettino

What does he want? Every team to play the same team, on the same day at the same time? Come on lads we're all playing Stoke away at 3pm Saturday? Get a life Poc you bloody flog!

surrifox Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 "Expended a lot of energy thinking.." not Harry Kane surely

When the manure players really round up on him like the Chelsea players did are the press going to slate them. Should manure be happy with 6/8th place. Long live Jose it will make our run for a CL spot next season easier when they blow up.

We have a very nasty looking May so hopefully we can play as we did tonight against Swansea/Hull to ensure our safety before the end of the month.. A great few days for your mob. Watford looked like the team that could sleepwalk into relegation but two great wins in four days and just like us it would take something disastrous to be relegated from this point. I'll feel dirty for cheering on Tottenham tonight away at Swansea but needs must. Anything but a Hull win tonight as well. Hopefully the bottom four revert to type and don't cause anyone above them any trouble.

I think he is destined to have a big fall-out with his players at somepoint. He seems unhinged these days and totally unable to deal with any kind of failure.
Sammy Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 I've watched a lot of United this year as I live with a United fan and I'm not so sure I agree with the general talk on here From what I've seen United have looked very good this year, albeit while failing to score enough goals at home. I saw that Zlatan has missed the most clear cut chances in the league and that hasn't surprised me, they're playing attacking football now and their fans seem much happier with how they're playing compared to LVG. When Pogba and Ibrahimovic are firing they look like a force, Bailly is class and for me they're a couple of players away from a title challenge next year. Mourinho has done well so far, they've won a trophy and are still in the Europa League which will clearly be his focus for the rest of the season. His criticism of Shaw (while harsh) is not a new thing as other managers have done it before. Fancy them to be up there next season

TV scheduling's were wrong last season and I have said it many times. They never had the chance to turn the screw on us. All they could really do was keep in touch with what we did. Yes we won it and it was only spuds. But had Sky done it to us I would have been hopping mad. In the final run in it should be alternated as to who plays first each round of fixtures. Right off to wash my mouth out with sulphuric acid. I really must be on fvcking drugs. Please someone tell me this is a nightmare. I DID NOT JUST STICK UP FOR SPUDS DID I?

Koke Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 That fat bellend Koeman had nothing to say about the wrongly disallowed Ibrahimovic goal. Feck me, I hate half the managers in this league. Can't even be honest in their interviews. Barkley is going around committing shocking tackles on people but you know Koeman will whine and whine if Huth gets away with a shirt tug or a push in the box on Sunday.

Corky Posted 5 April 2017 Posted 5 April 2017 Having a siege mentality only works for a period of time. People wise up to it, get bored of it and to keep it going you have to almost invent things to make it still relevant.

As for the criticism of Shaw. If people keep asking why he doesn't play and people like ashley young are ahead of him what's he supposed to say? If Shaw really is this really lazy trainer then why shouldnt it be said? How else is he going to learn?

How else is he going to learn? I was referring more to Mourinho than to Utd per se. He just hasn't seemed happy ever since the aggro he had at Chelsea. He's lost his cheeky chappy swagger and he's having a pop at whoever he can, when he can. Saying this is ok...only cuts it for so long. Remember when he did this at Chelsea last time round and the outcome there? If he really doesn't rate Shaw..no problem...sell him. Don't be publically slagging him off. What will that achieve? Do what Fergie did..just get rid. Man Utd have certainly looked better under Jose than under Van Gaal. They look more dangerous going forward. But their inability to finish sides off is their Achilles heel. For Utd to progress under Mourinho, they must get a very very good finisher at the club. Big Ibra can't do it all alone. I'm sure they will. They will go out and spend huge once more. To be honest, if Mourinho DOESNT get them right back on track next season, it will show he's finally lost what he had. imo.
