davieG Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 Shows what a massive difference confidence makes. I think the team's confidence has been hit by the loss of Kante rather his actual input. For the best part of last season everyone including CR went on about how much he meant to the team and now he's not there it's affected their belief in themselves

Harry96 Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 Gotta love Costa he's an animal great improvisation
Sharpe's Fox Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 Diego Costa is such a spawny cvnt I hate his guts
Benji Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 Is it safe to assume that Kante isn't playing today as Chelsea have conceded twice?

Guest Col city fan Posted 11 September 2016 Posted 11 September 2016 Mentioned after the Swansea game, I thought Leroy Fer was looking a more composed player. He's been excellent today.

Like for example, because Eddie Howe is a bit of a media darling and their ground is tiny, that buys everyone more time, and more credit for poor performances, than someone like Walter Mazzari who was being ridiculed on soccer saturday for using a lot of players over the first 3 games. Ok, so he cant speak english and hes been at a club where managers have come and gone. But dont try and suggest hes near the sack when hes had 3 games of which 2 were Chelsea and Arsenal. If he was a bog standard English manager, the sort Talksport absolutely LOVE, theyd be cutting this guy some slack and talking about how difficult a start theyd had and i must admit, i did very much enjoy the way they stuck 4 past another media darling, that god awful West Ham team who are built up so much by the press, who thought that 25 mins into a game was a good time to bring out the rabona flicks. +1. The way foreign managers are treated in the media in this country is one of my biggest bugbears about football. Look at the grief Pellegrini got and he won the league in his first season.

Kitchandro Posted 12 September 2016 Posted 12 September 2016 So there's an article on bbc sport about how Chelsea are right to feel robbed yesterday. Where was our article after the Arsenal game? Or a similar article for Watford and West Ham when Chelsea played them? The media bias is unreal.

I was just about to post something about this, the media coverage on this is unreal like its the biggest refereeing mistake of the century because it's Chelsea. If Hazard had just fouled and nicked the ball off their defender and scored it's just "part and parcel of the game."
AjcW Posted 12 September 2016 Posted 12 September 2016 I rate Kirchoff highly. Much higher than Sunderland that's for sure! Could definitely fill the hole in our midfield
StanSP Posted 12 September 2016 Posted 12 September 2016 good on Sky on getting the 'Sunderland on TV' quota done early. Such shite to watch. Boring game.
AjcW Posted 12 September 2016 Posted 12 September 2016 Everton aren't helping to be fair. Can't believe the stick Big Sam got for leaving Barkley out. He's utter shit

He's utter shit to be fair, Barkley did start the season well before the international break. so many average performances this 1st half, though, not just Barkley.
Vacamion Posted 12 September 2016 Posted 12 September 2016 You have to feel for Everton, it's a thankless slog from Liverpool to Sunderland on a Monday night, only for Defoe to score his inevitable poached goal late on.
ronnup Posted 12 September 2016 Posted 12 September 2016 Have to say, Gueye looks like he'd have been suitable as a Kante substitute. Not as good obviously but the right type. Kone is class too.
