erlee Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Vardy -> Arsenal 20 million quids Kante -> Real M 25 million quids we're rich!
Koke Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 To be honest I'm not that bothered. Obviously I want us to keep our best players for as long as possible but the fact is, regardless of what happened last season, that players will leave Leicester when the big clubs come calling. I've never believed that we were going to become a big club as a result of winning the league. And a large part of me doesn't want that to happen. It isn't what I'm in it for. I'll always maintain that what happens on the pitch is just about the least important part of following a football club. I've just witnessed us winning the league. Leicester City, Champions of England. Every player involved deserves to be called a hero. They've let us live out something beyond our wildest dreams. We shouldn't begrudge them living out theirs and playing for the biggest clubs around. Remember, these guys aren't Leicester fans like us. If any of the players wants a crack with any of the giants then good luck them. If Ranieri gets the chance to manage his country after the Euros then he goes with my blessing. This lot have earned that right. Nothing will ever take away what we've just seen this group achieve for our city. Sooner or later we'll be back to playing the likes of Barnsley and Reading on rainy November nights. It's what we do. But at least next time we get to enjoy it a bit more in the knowledge that we've seen us be the best there can be. Players come and go. I hope they stay but not that bothered if they go. Mahrez thought we were a rugby club when he first heard of us ffs. These players do not support this club. And for the love of God I wish people stopped believing every word that comes out of players and managers mouths. That's why I don't nuthug players.
Jattdogg Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Dear god get a grip! No player is ever bigger than the club (unless your name is Kante or Rachel riley). If they go they go. We move on, get more players and win the fackin league again. But until otherwise told we got the same team and still will win da league again Have a few pints lads.
BlueSi13 Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Is any of this a surprise? We're champions of England but let's be honest, everything away from the football pitch is not champions standard. Our identikit stadium, our training facilities, our wage structure, our commercial footprint, our global fanbase, even our bloody website...none of it is strong enough to stop players getting their heads turned by the mega revenue clubs. We have a large passionate domestic fanbase...but compared to a few other teams...that's about it. This is where I am expecting the owners to massively ramp up investment over the summer to strengthen the clubs business position and to increase its pull factor because right now...we're a pretty soft target for poachers. As for Vardy, I'll be devastated if he goes, I'd have loved to see him leading the line in the Champions League and in our title defence.
AmyLGK Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 I meant to quote not give a rep...dammit... ....technically it wasn't a melt down that caused the explosion....
Sampson Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Morgan, Drinkwater, Fuchs, Huth, Schmeichel, Albrighton, Simpson, King, Okazaki, Ulloa, Gray, Zieler, Schlupp... Guys. Chill. As some of you seem to have forgotten, we have some bloody good players here. We're much more than a 3 man team. And a fantastic scouting teams to bring extra recruitments in. Of course we'd be gutted to lose players like Vardy, Mahrez and Kante but the club and the current side is far bigger than any of them!
erlee Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Relax its not happening dont you worry.. once big Arse pays him 140K - he's off with his own gravy train
LJS Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Yeh but we'll still have the florest talking about their european cups!! They didn't jump ship after winning the PL, they won the European cup 2 years running!! Good for them. It was a brilliant achievement. It doesn't make ours any less brilliant.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Top tip. Hang around a bit, do more than 15 posts... then do a willy-pulling thread!
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 If he wants to go, they should sell him. My only gripe is vardy is worth at least £30 million at today's prices. For £20m Arsenal are getting a very good deal. Kante is worth £35m and mahrez about £40m

For £20m Arsenal are getting a very good deal. Kante is worth £35m and mahrez about £40m yeah,, but the final arbiter is the release-clause.. unless the player agrees to changing the value on ink.. and said "OK Arsenal - i want you to get me at 30 million quids" Arsene must be A-senile becuz Arsenal's playing style will not suit Vardy...... & Vardy - hope he is smart enuff to see that. His style of play will suit a few teams but not Arsenal ! If he flops at ARsenal.. he'll be 31 by the time he's moved on I'd sell him if i get 25 mil quids.
davieG Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Hadn't Vardy just won the league with Fleetwood when big club Leicester came in and took him away. There's a football pyramid and we're not at the top of it......................... Yet
FireFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Can't wait for Mahrez and Gray to tear apart Arsenal's back line next season.
MC Prussian Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Can't wait for Mahrez and Gray to tear apart Arsenal's back line next season. This has a somewhat desperate ring to it.
ThaiFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If Vardy is reading this, or considering a move...........just remember Lambert. Southampton to Liverpool, to WBA. and a wasted three years of the best part career. Can't even get in the WBA side now.
Raj Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It's football.. If he goes fair play..if he doesn't then good. What more to say?
st albans fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This is quite a specific case because of his age. our other 'gems' can have another year or two here and then make a huge move if they wanted to. Life is short and a football career even shorter. if he goes then I will be sad and peed off but I couldn't blame him. the worrying thing would be that it increases the chances of NG or Riyad following suit. We can try and replace JV but we would need a virtual rebuild if all three left. The commercial men at the CL sponsors will be annoyed this morning - they want to see us competing as we are now, not re invented.
Soup Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It won't bother the club if he or anyone else goes. Apparently their fearless forever.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If someone said to you a couple of months ago we could win the league and lose a couple of our best players... or come 2nd and keep the players. Which choice would you make? Winning the league was something we can remember forever, it can never be taken away. Players come and go (disappointing as it may be) but the club and it's fans are bigger than any individual!
