I assume that they ask for £30million and nobody wants to pay it so it becomes a waiting game to secure everything in the last week.... Transfer deadline day should be a bland quiet affair but it rarely is, so there has to be a reason everything is left until the last minute. Been thinking about why this happens every year and there are deadline day deals. Only thing I can think of is agents and clubs hold out for as long as possible to do business as the more desprate clubs become the more they are gonna pay in salary and wages. Club gets offered 25m reject it it gets leaked to turn it in to a bidding war and they try and get another 5m or 10m on top. Agent sees the desperation and asks for bigger wages. Didn't Pearson have a bit of a rant about every transfer deal getting leaked for a similar reason?
lgfualol Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 PLEASEEEEEE GIVE THEM ULLOA TO MAKE THE DEAL QUICKER

Depends if/when we get the deal done. Might be time for him to move elsewhere....or he can go on loan to a Championship club once the loan window opens

I'll always have fond memories of him. He was ice cold while sinking that penalty against the Hammers.
RoyFox Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 Poor Ulloa he's become the boy at school who always got picked last
what? Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 How would people imagine us lining up if we got this guy and N'Zonzi?

Finnegan Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 1. It's the same source that said Mahrez was going to Arsenal that we all rubbished. 2. It says rejected anyway.
mozartfox Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 FFS just pay the difference and get this done. we have off loaded both RDL and Moore this week so just have a whip round in the dressing room and offer the 30 m Euros.. This frigging rumor has gone on year after year and the price never drops.. Rudders get it done.

Sporting the side of the door is (for now) closed for the fearsome striker Fennecs despite an offer of 25 million euros made by the Foxes. Brand new, fresh with very high level, Islam Slimani could continue his ascent in the Premier League. Author of a remarkable last season, the Algerian has entered the closed elite of the most effective strikers in the world. In 2015/16, the Fennec recorded a personal record by scoring 27 times in the league. Stats that have terrified of Premier League clubs. Recently West Bromwich and Swansea have made offers of around 20 million euros, and more. But according to our information, the most serious track-side Leicester where the Champion of England submitted a proposal situated around 25 million euros. Claudio Ranieri wants to join Algerian international Jamie Vardy but also and especially to Riyad Mahrez, teammate Slimani in Algerian team. The two men knew each other well, and their agreement was efficient under Christian Gourcuff era. So far, the Italian coach of several associations including profit-Vardy Vardy or Okazaki-Ulloa, but Slimani option could lead to the departure of the latter. The former coach of Monaco appreciate the quality of the top game of the former goleador CR Bélouizdad also slaughter that perfectly matches the Foxes game philosophy. This is not a new track since that name was already checked last season by the technician. Kanté party Mahrez Vardy and still in the game, Leicester is keen to strengthen offensively in view of the C1. The English champions title will face Porto, Club Brugge and FC Copenhagen in Group G. In his first participation in the largest European competition, Leicester inexperience. Other recruits could land at the Foxes before the end of the transfer window. Islam Slimani is clearly part. But as deemed intractable business with Joao Mario record, Sporting Portugal, also called C1, do not imagine whiling striker. Last winter, the Portuguese club turned down an offer from a big club Chinese ... but also a check for € 18M proposed by Everton. Sporting Portugal has not been champion since 2002, and Jorge Jesus does not want to spend to achieve this Slimani grail as hoped by the president Bruno de Carvalho. It is there ... That's what we kept hearing from Arsenal fans about the shady stories surrounding the Mahrez deal. Which reminds me of something I saw on Twitter- a female Arsenal fan had messaged someone who was supposedly Mahrez's cousin about the move- he said there were big clubs interested and a move was possible, which got a huge amount of retweets and got all their hopes up. Next thing she tweeted, he'd sent her a dick pic. Had me in stitches.

Maybe but if we are interested in boufel and the Korean lad and just about every wide player available then doubt we see Musa playing on the wing. Schlupp staying as well and Kaputska still to come through. Just doesn't look like CR sees Musa long term as other that up top.
Ric Flair Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 I'd rather we concentrated on a midfielder and defender please.

brucey Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 No longer has a 30m euros release clause after it expired in June. Apparently Sporting quoting 40m euros now. Don't think this will get done
TJB-fox Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 This is annoying me now. We've seemingly been tracking him for well over 2 years now (?) ish, if we want him go and pay the money. If we don't want him then say we're not interested so we can put the rumour to bed. If someone else snaps him up I think it's a missed opportunity.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 Slimani and N'Zonzi would be fantastic signings. Not sure if this would mean Leo sold, hope not but at the same time it's about trying to keep players happy. If we had the options of Vardy, Musa, Okazaki, Slimani and Ulloa as a strikeforce that'd be excellent, but it's whether Ulloa would be content with that.
st albans fox Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 I can't see them selling at this late stage unless they can find an adequate replacement which is going to be v tough add to this the fact that rudders still hasnt made it out of the Monte Carlo casino with the transfer kitty and it's probably all too late anyway. (Even if we have a kitty left) And djellit is reliable on Algerians - never made an erroneous report on riyad/arsenal

Leo who is currently a solid squad player for the reigning Premier League Champions, who are about to embark on a Champions League adventure, might be really pissed about not starting every week and want to jump ship and go and play regularly for a reasonable Championship team .... like Derby .... Either way we need a bit of strength in depth at the moment and we have no idea whatsoever how new players will fit in ... so tbh I wouldn't worry what they thought ... I'd just tell them you are under contract get on with it.
Great Boos Up Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 How many windows have we courted this guy, 3? 4? Why did we have to haggle the absolute best bid down the lowest pound possible, now we're over a barrel. It's just not very sporting of Lisbon.
