HankMarvin Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Revealed! England's team to face Russia in Euro 2016 opener — who is in and who is out http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/revealed-englands-team-face-russia-8151954
AKCJ Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 iF WE PLAY A 4-3-3 WITH LALANA AND STERLING OUT WIDE I'M GIVING UP. Ahh, caps lock.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 To be honest I'd prefer this to having Vardy playing on the left wing. Use him as an impact sub through the middle

ScouseFox Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 oh man that is painful to even look at on a pretend daily mirror pitch let alone in real life
Max Power Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 They'll be shoehorning Rooney in at centre back before long
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 That's disgusting. Especially the full backs... how on earth have Danny Rose and Kyle Walker got in? Both awful
Stadt Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 why not play 442 if you're playing with two central midfielders, two wingers and two strikers? Rooney's not good enough to play upfront let alone central midfield. That will surely be horribly exposed too because besides Dier there's not really any discipline. That's disgusting. Especially the full backs... how on earth have Danny Rose and Kyle Walker got in? Both awful *this is disgusting
StanSP Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Why would the line-up be revealed 2 days early? This ain't rugby. Anyway, thread here - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/106732-england-team-to-play-russia/
Jaspa Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 As long as the wingers or midfielders can cover the wingbacks its decent formation. We used it against Australia and got exposed numerous times off the wings, mids (Drinky in particular) couldnt take control of the game that evening. How reliable is this source anyway, is Roy walking around announcing his plays to everyone or something

Anyway, thread here - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/106732-england-team-to-play-russia/ Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is facing the axe for Three Lions' tie Sportsmail understands they've been practicising formation without him
foxes_rule1978 Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Won't work, Vardy will come on, we go back to diamond we win, then Hodgson starts 433 for next match again for no logical reason
apple987 Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Are you all really going to spend the whole of the euros stressing about whether vardy is playing or not? Who cares. Just support the boys and enjoy it.
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Second top premier league goalscorer happens to be English going into a major tournament. What shall we do with him Roy? Drop him. Genius! I give up.
apple987 Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Second top premier league goalscorer happens to be English going into a major tournament. What shall we do with him Roy? Drop him. Genius! I give up. The formation is one that Roy and the staff like. And if that's the formation they are going for then vardy isn't a starter. He isn't good enough on the left wing, he's had opportunities but it hasn't worked. The Germany game was telling. Vardy comes on, the formation changes and the game changed. This is the idea. Wait until the other team tire and then change the game
the_tank Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Never going to play 2 up front, so top scorer and better all round player Kane has to start. Vardy as impact player of bench.
cjslcfc Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Never going to play 2 up front, so top scorer and better all round player Kane has to start. Vardy as impact player of bench. Where does this come from?!?! I see it everywhere. Is he really?
Dan Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Rather him not play than play in a system that doesn't fit him. Don't rate that side either. Rooney starting the opening game as a midfielder couldn't sum up this set up any more.
Dan Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 They'll be shoehorning Rooney in at centre back before long Said the same to my mate yesterday. If Vardy and Kane had another season of doing this, Alli had another good season, Wilshere stayed injury free and Drinkwater moved to someone like Liverpool he'd probably try and stick Rooney in defence. Honestly beats me how bad this set up is. It's like we're backing ourselves into problems before we've even kicked a ball. Well and truly beyond me. This is the game they really ought to win as well. Russia are painfully ordinary.

Russia are painfully ordinary. "Ooh he'll have time on the ball to pick long passes out", "he's really competitve so he'll win balls", "he's decent in the air", "he's a leader" Can't wait to see it. Hope Andy King calls him a cvnt and bags a classy goal in a 1-0 triumph for the WELSH LADS
the_tank Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 Love Vardy's work rate, speed and goals and disagree with Danny 'utterly pointless' Mills that he isn't international class but as a lone striker Kane is better suited. Hope the team clicks..main concern is defence.
filbertstreet Posted 9 June 2016 Posted 9 June 2016 if he's been dropped it means he's not signed for one of the big teams so bit of good news there
