TiffToff88 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 ...and replaced by Jamie Vardy for the Wales game. At least according to The Sun anyway (so its probably a load of bo11ocks)
Finnegan Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I love these "senior figures in the camp" stories. Translation: "this journalist thinks."
jaqo88 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Didn't have a good game against Russia, but he is a good striker who scores goals. Don't think he got the best service tbh, should have another chance Playing Vardy alongside Kane through the middle is the obvious solution, and I think they'd work well together, but as usual Woy won't accomodate them, and may well play Vardy on the wing
TiffToff88 Posted 13 June 2016 Author Posted 13 June 2016 I love these "senior figures in the camp" stories. Translation: "this journalist thinks." My point exactly about it being more manufactured Sun bullsh*t. but if its true, it would be nice knowing Vardy has the backing of the "big boys"
Finnegan Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I love Vardy and hate Kane but as deep as we play and with as many defenders, if you play Vardy as a lone striker we'll be delighted. I'll be thrilled if Kane doesn't play against us.
davieG Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Probably this guy Roy Hodgson's decision to leave Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy on the bench had echoes of World Cup failurehttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3637987/Roy-Hodgson-s-decision-leave-Daniel-Sturridge-Jamie-Vardy-bench-echoes-World-Cup-failure.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

He'll never get a head to crosses like that
foxfanazer Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Play Kane and Vardy together ffs. As shit as Kane was the other night he's still a top striker, he just needs to stay onside and stop shooting everytime he gets the ball. Oh and don't take set pieces! Don't believe this story for one second though
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 There was 100 times more service to the front against Russia than there was when Vardy and Kane played up front together in the previous game. Rooney actually stayed in his position which he didn't in the friendly.
GaelicFox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 hodgson rooney.jpg "Boss, i heard Harry chatting sh1t, needs to get banged" Getting "banged" by a scouser is a bit different than the context Jamie meant it LOLn
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Vardy should have come on for sure, against that slow Russian back line and when we went one up they would have had to press higher. Hodgson has zero idea on what he is doing!
whoareyaaa Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Any other manager from any other nation would have started Vardy or at least put him on the pitch at some point but no not our Roy. Arrogant owl.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Anyone with half a brain knows Kane AND Vardy should be starting down the middle as a pair.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I'd obviously prefer Vardy to start but it obviously should be both up top and Rooney being told to get out their grill.
GingerrrFox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 There were at least 3 passes behind the Russian defence that I am convinced Vardy would have got on the end of on Saturday. Kane looked like a whale out of water trying to run in behind their defence.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I thought Kane looked very tired on Saturday. He's not quick by any means but I've seen him make solid bursts from time to time. He looked off the pace, even struggling to get in the box for crosses. He's had a very long season to be fair to him but he should have been pulled after an hour when it clearly wasn't working for him.
Tuna Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 'Senior figures' translates as'speculating lazy journalist'. About as reliable as'sky sources'.
Socks Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I would drop Kane for Vardy & Sterling for Sturridge for Wales. I wouldn't even give them another chance, we need to win Maybe Rashford for Lallana too... Same formation, leave Rooney where he was (replace him with Wilshere if he gets knackered again) If things dont work then Woy can bring on Chromosome boy if he wants.........

Exactly there is no time for another chance, 2 games left give the others a go, they are no worse.
Socks Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 We need a good end cross/pass and both Rashford & Sturridge are good at that Lallana was OK but some of his passing was poor
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Is their any other nation in this tournament that haven't really a clue what they're doing formation and positional wise?
Wymsey Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Only want Vardy to go, but for just one reason his mouth doesn't shut! if he carries on taking 'shooting' corners.
Tielemans63 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 To be fair to Kane he wasn't given any decent service and it's not his fault Hodgson thinks having the centre forward taking corners is a good idea. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
