ARTY_FOX Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 If you think Keane is that bad....quick give us the £20 million:) Ben Mee is far more important to Burnley anyway. Foxes can buy Keane this summer and then pay £30 million for his replacement James Tarkowski next summer. Sorted. They way transfer prices are going 30 million wouldn't buy you a pair of shoe laces next year
Soar Fox Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 well you were some of the favourites to go up, and we were favourite to go down. so most people, probably. in a year's time i imagine they'll flip flop once more. unless pearson goes mental and gets sacked. or some other unfortunate club ends up with dyche, god bless them. as for keane, don't really see the point. not gonna get into our team atm, barely our squad. presumably be 4th choice at best. 20 mill and a bumper contract. madness. Which Burnley fan came on here and said to you Scouse "there's not much difference between David Jones and Drinky"
Soar Fox Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 Can't wait for Gravel throat to sign Cole Skuse for £5 million and then mention market leaders on the first match of the day.
ScouseFox Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 Which Burnley fan came on here and said to you Scouse "there's not much difference between David Jones and Drinky" haha yeah i can't remember his name, he was claret something or someone claret. not this one though. he was great i enjoyed him. he stuck around for quite a while in our first year back. when we started really well he was like it's ok i'll stick around we'll finish above you, then he started rubbing it in when they were gonna finish above us. then poof, he disappeared when they went down and we won the league. shame. said he'd have scott arfield over mahrez, too.
VLC86 Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 I very much doubt we wanted Keane after he had been on loan with us. We seemed to get worse every game he played in, plus he was weak as Fvck. We signed Wasileswki after Keanes loan finished won the championship, survived relegation then won the premier league. Could have done better in them 3 years with Keane imo.

Scott Arfield> Mahrez? Hahahahhahahdhdhshshdgd that post needs finding.
ScouseFox Posted 4 July 2016 Posted 4 July 2016 Scott Arfield> Mahrez? Hahahahhahahdhdhshshdgd that post needs finding. yeah he went through our team from one of our early games as soon as we'd come up and their team and basically concluded, as a fact, that man for man they were better in every position. think it was in the prem thread for the 14/15 season but not sure. it was a pretty good 5 pages or so. he got mullered, obviously, cos at the time it was retarded. God knows quite how stupid it looks now drinkwater is an england international, mahrez is the best player in the uk etc.

J.Lisemore Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Arfield over Mahrez Bloody hell that guys had a mare lol even in the Championship Mahrez looked a different kettle of fish to any player in his position.
Babylon Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Arfield over Mahrez Don't know what's funny, if Arfield didn't play for Burnley and wasn't utter shit, he'd have won the player of the year ahead of Mahrez.
Grewks Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 How many Burnley players would get in our XI now? Answer - The same amount as in our starting 18.
lancyclaret Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 If we hadn't let a two goal lead slip against Burnley in a game in which we were cruising we might not have needed "The Greatest Escape". In fact, if that hadn't have happened we might might have won the league last year and again this year. Burnley still would've been relegated though. Get your facts right - you didn't let a two-goal lead slip. I remember that 2-2 match - we had 5 reserves playing because of injuries after losing 4-0 at West Brom six days earlier. We were so short of midfielders, Stephen Ward had to play in central midfield at your place with both Ross Wallace and Kightly getting a rare run-out.

How far they've come. Sorry, i shouldn't joke. Giving Paul Robinson a new contract looks a great piece of business.
Babylon Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 We live in a world where James Tomkins is a £10m defender.
Jon the Hat Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 We live in a world where James Tomkins is a £10m defender. It is a very confusing place.
Jack1993 Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 This is by no means scientific but when Michael Keane was on loan with us there was definitely a correlation between him starting football matches and us losing football matches. If anybody would be bothered enough to look, it might make interesting reading. *Disclaimer - There's a reasonable chance that my memory isn't that great
Stevosevic Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Basically when he joined we went on that horrible run at the end of the play off season
ealingfox Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 Basically when he joined we went on that horrible run at the end of the play off season He joined in November. In January we won all 5 of our league games and conceded 2 goals in the process. We had the tightest defence in the league at that point.
