Lesta Legend Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Rio Ferdinand last season said the three best young English centre-halves were John Stones, Eric Dier and Michael Keane. Keane should command the same sort of fee as the other two. Top trolling, the same as two established premiere league players... Give overNo doubt he'll command a lot, he's a capable defender. FoxinNotts Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Said I wasn't going to get involved in this years speculation! Anyway, I can't understand why we are going for another centre back when we have Morgan, Huth, Wasilewski and Hernandez. That's assuming we get shot of Benny and Moore. Do with think any of the first four are leaving ?
foxes21 Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Hernandez could play rb, although the sporting Gijon fans said his best position is at cb..

Guest Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 I thought transfermarkt was supposed to be a decent valuation site. M Keane £3.38m

Do with think any of the first four are leaving ? Because we're building for the future. I'd rather have a young CB in now learning from Morgan, Huth and Was. Keane could be our main CB for the next 8-10 years. In the grand scheme of things £15m isn't that bad.
Fitbaphile Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 I thought transfermarkt was supposed to be a decent valuation site. M Keane £3.38m According to them, Kanté and Mahrez are worth £15m... Would anyone say that reflects their true value?
HankMarvin Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Leicester City set to make a new offer for Michael Keane after Burnley turn down £12m bidLeicester are ready to test Burnley's resolve over Michael Keane with an improved bid for the defender. Burnley rejected Leicester's opening £12million offer for Keane, even though it is understood manager Sean Dyche is willing to cash in on the centre-half. Dyche believes he could use the windfall to strengthen his squad as the Clarets bid to avoid an immediate return to the Championship next season. It is understood Dyche has between £20million and £30million to spend this summer and selling Keane would significantly boost his kitty. The Clarets boss knows he has a ready-made replacement at centre-half in James Tarkowski, whom he bought from Brentford for £3million in January. Leicester know this and will test any possible fault lines between Dyche and the Burnley board with a second, improved bid.

Keane should command the same sort of fee as the other two. I can see similarities but I wouldn't go that far... He needs to work on his tactical side a bit more and also get stronger so he doesn't get bullied by strong centre forwards. Partnering with Wes/Robert H would be good for him. I think £12m is the top amount though but if he really turns out as good as people thing, the extra £2m is worth it. FWIW - I really liked him when here.
surrifox Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 What on earth will Dyche do with all those pound notes ?
Mike Oxlong Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 What on earth will Dyche do with all those pound notes ? Hopefully put them in a large suitcase and stick them up his anus
chicagofox Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 What on earth will Dyche do with all those pound notes ? Not spend them and then spend the season moaning about having no money.

bald reynard Posted 30 June 2016 Posted 30 June 2016 Mercury reporting today that we're not pursuing Keane anymore - presumably looking at all those other CB's now - including Sigurdsson (the defensive one !) and Dragovic ? The £12m / £15m we were considering paying for Keane would be much better spent on other players. We might need it for Deeney, but we are in need of another Centre Back (Huth won't last another season and Hernandez could well end up at RB) - and it should go on a decent, EXPERIENCED (though more mobile than Huth) player, who has some pedigree in Champions League football. Dragovic is the man for me. Lets hope Christian has put in a good word, while training in the Austrian camp !
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 Apparently going in with a final 15 million bid! According to?
Nick Posted 1 July 2016 Posted 1 July 2016 According to? In the gossip column bbc sport Daily Mirror ....... (Not the Daddy of sauces, I know)
