With a few exceptions, pretty much the whole tournament has been about 'not losing' rather than winning. They seem shit scared of just taking a chance and going for it.

Portugal here have got players who could nick this game. But they are just not getting forward enough to do so.

Feels like a testimonial game, no pace, not much skill and all too friendly, especially since France took out Ronaldo.

Can't wait for Stockholm and then Wembley to see a real team.

Maybe i've been spoilt watching Leicester last season but I just struggle to understand how hard teams find it to counter attack, it's alien to them.

They are choosing not to. This game is set for Portugal to counter. But they aren't getting players in the box enough.

The only way this would have been a more open game was if France scored early and Portugal needed to score.

I'm not talking about just tonight though, i'm talking about the tournament in general.

best bit so far was when henry called sissoko momo sissoko. different fella, that.

To be fair this game would be much better if momo Sissoko was playing.

I mean, it wouldn't be nil nil.

This is costing the sport thousands of next generation fans and potential players who tonight have switched to alternative sports because they just can't see the appeal. We scoff at "marketing" in football but at the end of the day it's a required element as the game is jostling with other sports and interests, many more tournaments like this and the big scoring American Sports will take further strides into footballs catchment, however this is dressed up it's tepid, cagey veering towards watching paint dry territory.

What a terrible advert for the tournament and the sport this has been.

Football at its best is an art it,it is enthralling watching artists(players) create something wonderful and being mesmerised by them. At its worst it is turgid and can be painful to watch and plain boring it is all down to being afraid to lose rather than being excited to win
