But France have shown us up, but Portugal don't have Ronaldo? But they did against Iceland The only team Portugal have beat in 90 Mins is Wales and that's What we did? It's almost like looking at one or two results is not a clear indication Of what football team is better than who? Come someone help me out before I do something daft like look at the bigger picture or something, because I've got us down as either one of the best or one of the worst teams at the tournament at the minute. I would say that by beating Wales we showed we were the better of the two sides at a game of all British style football whilst Wales proved to be better than us at mixing it with the continentals. Overall though it's frustrating that whilst we (Hodgson in particular) were poor the teams that have gone further are proving to be not all that special and pretty flawed themselves. Field a side of our most inform and pacey players and I'd still back us to go further than we did, pick the wrong side, play people out of position and allow passengers and you lose to Iceland. Icelands collapse against France was in part a result of chasing the game, something they only had to do for a couple of minutes against us, having said that they didn't exactly shut up shop but they certainly weren't as wide open as they were against France.
